Assume you are NOT gaming at a GW store or official GW function... either in a FLGS, someone's home, or tournament that allows reasonable proxies.

Would this mini bother you if it was used as an Ork Warboss? Maybe with a "counts as" Attack Squig (to represent the presence of the goblin)?

Thanks!

I'd say it's a reasonable proxy. Not all that orky though, kind of ogre-ish.

Helluva lot better than pop cans or poker chips though.

Wouldn't bother me. I think he looks more like a Big Mek, though.

I'm fine with any models as long as the army background and modeling fits it. A standard ork army with that as the warboss would seem weird to me.

It would need a lot of conversion. It looks more like something you'd see in a traitor mechanicus force, like the chaos Ogryns from forgeworld.

Sorry, I have to ask. Is that a reference to the two characters from Mark Millar & John Romita Jr's Kick Ass?

No, it's a reference to the game Bioshock.

I like the miniture, with a little conversion it would make a Warboss without any counts as.

Currently it is more an Ogryn special character.

im not a nazi when it comes to minis either. as long as it isnt a pile of melted legos and your trying to pass it off as a wirlwind or a blood thirster. i like that mini itd make a great warboss. i agree tho it needs a little conversion on it

Looks like a fun mini. I could care less what my opponent fields, as long as it's clear what it is. WYSIWYG is a GW marketing ploy. I'm old enough to remember the cardboard boyz and marines that came in the Rogue Trader book.

I'm thinking about picking it up. My gaming group WILL give me H*LL about it... but we give each other H*LL about everything, so it'll be business as usual. LOL
I can tell you that I definitely would NOT bother with any GS on the grot nose... too little to frag with. They'd definitely be painted proppa.
The idea behind it would be more along the lines of a Warboss for a mechanized Ork list (Trukk boys and 20 strong Ork squads in Battlewagons). So, the wrench makes sense for that.

My main thing, though, is a LIST. Until I can write up a proppa list, I'm not dropping the dough... plus, I've been a little free-wheeling with the PayPal account, lately. LOL

Thanks for the input, so far, guys!

I wouldn't have an issue with it, but it is kinda small for a Warboss. I have this guy (BEAUTIFUL model BTW) for my IG army (reeeeeally hoping they have some sort of Ogryn Bodyguard upgrae for HQs!) and it is a bit smaller than a regular Ogryn.

Better suited as an Ogryn or a tough-looking Mekboy, but I've no problem using non-GW firgures as long as it's clear what they are supposed to be and they're in the spirit of the game.
