Yeah we went to a gold and gem exhibit in D.C and I got to hold a gold bar and man it was heavy!

In a desperate attempt to get away from D3 chat which is killing me, heres a quick shot of the marines I started on.

Interesting to see just how bright they are now compared to how they will finish up

Airbrush layers down, sponge weathering down, now to cover them in washes and repick out some details. Fun!

These will end up the same as the tank, little lower quality maybe.

I'm interested to see how the Plague Marines turn out as well.
I like the overall colour but the brown on the legs looks almost too much right now. Once it is washed based and higlighted it may have a totally different look!

You just hit a sore point with those Plague Marines with me. I picked up some finecast ones about two months ago and painted them up and put them in their case.

I went to check them on the weekend as its there first game (tournament) this weekend and the sergeants sword has actually bent out of shape and there was loads of space for the mini in the case.

Not sure if I should send a complaint to GW but what can they do?

I finished up the nurgly dudefaces, here they are. I had to physically stop myself from working on them because I was ready to go totally overboard as they were so much fun.

I have a finecast nurgle lord to paint up for another owner that I am going to go absolutely crazy on. Oh my god I can't wait.

Which delivered... among other things... this! (my basing) FW Ork Squadron Kommander, rendered very faithfully with the real-life WWI prototype in mind.

Lovely dirty marines covered in filth. They look nauseating. And you decorate packaging! What a service you provide.

So jealous of logg_frog - I have never gotten my hands on a gold bar - I lifted a silver one once and you wouldn't have wanted to drop it on your toe. But 25kg - I swear I weighed 25kg when I was 8... if you watch die hard 3 again with this knowledge you can tell that the gold bars are fake.

It's a Forge World event-only model from several years back (thanks Dysartes!). Picked it up off the net (apparently it's not the most popular design so it was reasonably affordable). I think it's a great fig & Iffy did a fantastic job painting it.

It's 2009 at the latest, Git - 2010 was the Ork Runt Bot, 2011 had the Boarding Marine and 2012 has the Skin Wolf and Enforcer.

Washing a "gorgeous" forgeworld nurgle sorc to get rid of the mold release coating while thinking lovingly about fruity cocktail squig. I'm going to start on those amazing teeth. Yes I am. That should actually be worth an update shot. The Nurgle sorc is going to be a LOT of fun as he is to character standard instead of the tabletop standard the other Nurgle guys were, and I have a lot of ideas for him. Horrible, nasty, gloopy ideas.

The FWODDKOKDRC is going to be a lot of fun, in fact, they will likely all be fun. The models are incredible :O Forgeworld has never failed to impress me.

By the way, I do have a Facbook page just for my painty stuff and would totally appreciate Likes if people do use Facebook and would like updates in that format, they really help as I have had quite a few commissions come in that were " My friend liked your page and I had a look and would be interested in xyz", so it really does help me out!
