So, I just heard the news that wizkids has just ceased. I am really worried, I am an avid fan of superhero miniatures and mechwarrior. So my question is heroclix going to be gone forever? If yes should I buy as much as I can right now or wait it out?

HeroClix, from what I know, is the one money-making thing that WizKidz did. Chances are Topps will just continue to produce that as normal.

And for MW... I don't think there's been a release for MW in quite a while. It was 'on hold'. I doubt that'll come back at the moment.

If you're worried about it, just buy up a load of figures now. They keep.

Doing that on sunday when I'm going out to the city spending over $50 on them from starters to boosters

If anyone wants them, I've a fair old amount of Mageknight stuff I don't really use anymore.

I often found that there were many Mageknight figures that could be used for 40k conversions. People oftern ask me, "where did you get that". I don't have the heart to tell them I cut it from a clix game and repainted it.

If they had any intention of doing new Haloclix/Actionclix, they'd have been out this past spring when Halo: Series 2 was originally scheduled to be released. It's when we were told to expect it and the Scorpion when Series 1 was released. Series 1 only sold as well as it did because it coincided with the release of H3.

Too bad. I was hoping that with the sucess of HaloClix, they might try other videogames.

Secret Invasion(and its Skrull characters) was the Marvel Comics event going on at the time of release and featured(surprise, surprise) Skrulls that had infiltrated Earth by stealing the identities of captured or dead super heroes. So if you find the Skrull characters stupid, you can blame Marvel itself(I'm sure there was some pressure there, like when DC demanded all their character names be Caps Locked because Warner Brothers wanted it).

Yes secret invasion was a bit stupid but I mean final crsis is happening in the DC universe, I'm currently building a diorama with my doubles to make a small scale diorama of one of the scenes in final crisis

So if you find the Skrull characters stupid, you can blame Marvel itself(I'm sure there was some pressure there, like when DC demanded all their character names be Caps Locked because Warner Brothers wanted it).

I know, I reading New Avengers. Still, I don't want ANY Skrull miniatures. But hey, I think we can all be glad there are no "Brand new day" minis

According to the original announcement Heroclix (and other unamed profitable lines) will be continued under another branding, i.e. another company owned by Topps.

Ok thanks for all the answers just bought myself four starters and twenty eight boosters and fifteen singles so I don't have a shortage for now and traded with a lot of people from my gaming club

oops I forgot I also got a galactus figure and a brick of arkham asylum with my mega heroclix set I got
