Can you use a Drop Pod with a Sisters of Battle army? For that matter, can an allied Space Marine unit in a Witchhunters army incorporate Drop Pods?

There is no drop pod in the WH codex and it isn't listed as a unit that can be allied, so Drop Pods cannot be taken for units from the WH codex.

If you take an allied SM unit who has the option to take a Drop Pod as a dedicated transport then yes, they may utilize that option if you choose.

I maybe wrong, but doesn't the dedicated transport rule state that you can put the unit in the transport if purchased for a different unit after deployment? That means that the sisters can't go in the drop pod as the drop pod is deployed with the unit at the point of deepstrike.

I don't have my rulebook with me to check for sure and provide the quote.

What Yak is saying that Allied Marines can purchase and use pods, NOT that Allied Marines can purchase and loan them to the Sisters.

If it's not canon, there's no way I'd let you play it. My two cents.

Meh... I'd be at least looking at the list first before disallowing it.

I'm more than happy to allow home-brew lists if they're reasonable.

I've not problem reading it and I did. It's still not canon.

In a pick up and play game, sure. I'd let you use your non-canon list.

In a tourney? No freakin' way.

BoLS generally produces pretty reasonable stuff, not just wish lists. At a tournament I can see saying no, sicne your competeing in a set environment, introudcing rules and armies you have no experinece with is contrary to the point of the tournament.

However, in freindly games, I say "Bring it on!"

In a tournie, it wouldn't be up to you... it would be up to the Tournie Organiser as to which lists are legal for that event...
