My FLGS assured me yesterday that I'll have my three boxes of pre-ordered Gretchins on the 17th of January. Has anyone else had a release date confirmed?

Yup! Thanks.

I don't go to Warseer that often, or remember to follow every link.

Honestly, it's better to wait for the warseer links to come over here, then you don't have to wade through the kiddies pool to find stuff.

I'm quoting that last line for its sheer perfection. Since I dumped Internet Explorer for Firefox, I haven't even been to Warseer.
Love the plastic Gobboes, by the way. I don't care that it's 40K and not fantasy, thats what I'll always call them.

No need to wade through the 'kiddie pool' if you just wait long enough for the important bitz to make it to the rumor roundup (or just look at the attachments in the threads).

I was pretty amazed at Jes' favourite model choice in that issue though.

@BrookM

Amazed at the model, or amazed at the choice?

I think it was a pretty sound choice. There's never been a better Imperial Guard HQ figure (and yes, I include Yarrick). Brian Nelson can do no wrong.

Both really, personally I love the model, but I was rather surprised that Jes picked that one and explained why he picked it.

Well, plastic gretchin have been missing forever, so it´s good they´re here. Me, I´m looking at their guns and thinking to myself... "Hmm, looks like hive gangers and scummy henchmen of inquisitors just caught a break! finally we can get some pistols, other than las and bolt!"

It's so true... You know, when you're wading through the kiddies pool, you keep telling yourself that the reason it's warmer than the big pool is because it's shallower, and the sun's rays have less water to heat so it happens quicker and all that... but you don't believe it... there's one reason and one reason only why the kiddies pool is warmer, and that's the reason why you don't go in the kiddies pool. That's the reason why you don't go to Warseer.

Ah well. Their loss, Dakka's gain.

And if anyone was thinking of what to get Warseer for next Christmas, might I suggest a sense of humour, with a side of humility?

For this I'd suggest handing out travel tickets to the most colourful of members, ship them all to a central location, put them in a meeting room there and sell tickets for spectators to witness the very first "Dakka Dakka Forum Tough Guy / Wordy Bloke Death Match". Solves all your problems.

Only problem is when HBMC walks out ( ), poor Russ and yakface will have to clean up the leftovers. Yuck.

Picked up Snikrot today, actually. Kickass model. Use green stuff.
