come rate it in my Gallery if you think its nice. Dunno about the Grey/whiteness of the robe-thing, but I still like the way he turned out.

Looks pretty good! Much better painted than anything I could do, and nice layering effect on the base.

The mini itself looks a bit odd to me though with all those purity seals on it. Is that standard for SM Grand Masters?

Der iz no such 'ting as shooty Orks or slugga Orks! ONLY "ARD ORKS!!!

Marine commanders are typically shown with purity seals all over the friggin place.

The angle is weird on these, but there is'nt much to be done about that....they're part of the casting.

Personally Ive always hated the idea of the top ranking types COVERED in purity seals. It looks really dumb............. that being said nice paint job

Well, he's a Grey Knight, they should have a lot of those things anyway.

Nice paintjob. Nothing spectacular, but more than enough for the table.

I just worked out what that model started as. Nice job there. What did you make the Psycannon out of?

Looks good, nice basing work without drawing away from the model.

Try hitting the robes with sepia wash than bonewhite and white highlights, or blue wash than ghostly gray and white highlights.

take care

I'm not that creative when it comes to conversions.

The model is quite simply a SM Terminator Captain with right and left arms of a simple Grey Knight terminator. The base is just cork.

Normally, concerning conversions, if I see something cool...I might copy it, otherwise they're super-simple like this.

[EDIT]

Just realised why you didnt notice the arm HMBC...it was actually a pretty tough cut without a dremel, but the sword arm wound up totally coming off in order that the Grey Knight Psycannon arm could go on.

Very nice and clean. My only complaint is that I don't like how bright and shiny the armour is. But then again, I like my GKs dark and dirty. You did a very good job with the shield.

Good clean lines and nice freehand. Honestly though all the colors look too bright/light to me. It might be a filter you used on the photo, but I would like it if everything was a shade or two darker. I do like the white on the tabard though.

You guys are right about it being awefully bright for a 40k model...but that's by design.

These guys are a shining beacon of hope for humanity against the dark powers of chaos....I wanted the painting to reflect that. Apparently I got it right!

Well, props to pulling off the effect you wanted. I may be biased against bright colors, because I think of the 40k universe as being quite dark.

Any hope of seeing your grand master at the helm of his army? Id love to see them all together.

I'm not a big fan of the silver and gold, I think two metallics is too much. I'd rather see grey and gold or silver and orange.

that being said, it's a fine striking model.

The white of his robes is a little too white for me, but you've already explained why.

I wish I had the inquisition's dry cleaners on retainer.

I like it, but I think the Crux Terminatus looks too yellow against all those whites and metallics. I'd 'brown' it up a little bit if I had any painting talent whatsoever (I don't though)

Really nice Only thing I would have changed is to add a tiny bit more definition between the overlaps on the armor plates, though a carefull aplication of ink could do the trick pretty well.
