Ive just finished the new stormlord model and I must say im a little bit in love with it. The kit is amazing and went together like a dream. Its much better than the FW banblades and a lot more detailed.

Ive had a couple of PM's from peeps who have read my blog and wanted images of the troop compartment so ive tried to include a few angles that GW have not shown yet.

Wait a sec GW expects us to believe that 40 men will fit in the back of that, or is there a hatch somewhere, where the people stay inside the tank. Or would the engine be there. GAH why does this not make sense.

Dude, that's perfect! Thanks a ton for snapping photos. It looks stellar too! Seeing it from other angles actually improves my opinion of the tank.

I have agree though, the unit must climb inside some kind of hatch. And then 20 infantry can fire from that platform. I'm still not sure where the engine goes.

Thats a great green, what color did you use? Also, how easy would it be switch out the main weapons for the different builds?

Sweet! Gives me an idea of what mine will look like since that's almost exactly the color scheme(main difference is that I make my HBs black and have a bit of black on the LCs)I use for my Mech Guard.

There are doors behind the main gun leading onto the flat "shooting platform" I have put yellow hazard lines in front of them.

The colour is the old GW dark angel green spray. When my local GW told me they were going to stop selling it i bought the whole stock so I could expand my army in the future

I still don't understand where the troops are meant to disembark from. Do they jump over the side and fall 12 feet down to the ground, or do they run along the front and jump off into harms way?

I know guardsmen are expendable, but keeping them trapped like that is animal cruelty!

Perhaps the exit folds out?

Just like the baneblade it has a ladder at the rear.

What weapons are on the back (are they ment to be Heavy Stubbers ?)

Im guessing that they go down the rear ladder, the side ladder and some over the sides under the cover of the heavy stubbers and the men firing from the platform.

If you look at the gun platform then you can see that the rear is raised up. I think the power plant is under that and the rest is used for transport.

Maybe its not the best thought out transport but as one of now 8 options with this chassis i think i can put up with it

having crew for the stubbers would make it look better, i prefer models that have crew, like battlewagons and trukks that have grots performing running repairs to keep the vehicle moving. And on SM tanks i always have a tank commander in the hatch area, not just a closed hatch, so men manning the stubbers is a good idea
