Funny, I was on that site just today.
I found these very characterful walkers, could stand in for those new AV12 Sentinels:
They say it's 110mm high and 90mm across at the legs, so it's biggish, but most of that size is air, and I don't think any opponent would mind my using these.

Steam tank number 5 is 3.75" long, 2.5" wide and 2" high. Only use in 40k would probably be Ork Wartrakks... Great for VSF though

I quite like Steam Tank #3. I suppose you could embiggen it a bit by an impressive base to make it stand in for a Hellhound. The length is mostly okay, just some more height and width, which is easy enough to do by modelling in some scenery.

Sorry, haven't been on DD as much lately.
I've seen this stuff online before over at the Lead Adventurer's Forum. Fantastic looking stuff; could make for good alt Leman Russes or a nice centerpiece for a GASLIGHT or equivalent army. I haven't gone for 'em yet mostly because I'd want one (or more!) of each...

I like that four-legged walker thing, that looks like an Ork conversion waiting to happen. All this stuff would be great for Pulp adventures, of course. Several of those could probably work well for Orks in fact.
Also, the turrets would be great for fixed gun emplacements on top of some fortifications.

What I HADN'T seen before are the Sanwar desert raiders. Wow. Great for VSF Fremen, or subterranean desert Martians, or enslaved tripod Martian drones, or pretty much anything!
The VSF automata are pretty sweet as well. I'd want to know if you could choose the weapons before ordering, but having a unit of 'klanks' is always handy when fighting the Mahdi or Johnny Offworlder, eh wot?

I've just ordered steam tank 5, and if that fits my praetorians as a chimera with 'lil conversion, I'll order another steam tank 5, and a steam tank three for conversion to a hellhound.
I don't have a digital camera, but I'll let you guys know how they measure up.

Thanks a million, Mick. Looks a bit small for what I intended for it (a Hellhound using STank #3). I suppose the basing option is still open.
Do you think anyone would object if I were to give one of these a base that gave it the same general footprint as a Chimera Chassis?

Thanks a lot for the pics, much appreciated. As for basing these, I obviously can't speak for anyone else but I certainly wouldn't have a problem with it as not only would it be a neat conversion but it would be perfectly fair as well.

Mick A: nice paint job!
That's a great size for so-called 'true' 28mm (I can see that tank working well with, say, Wargames Factory's Victorian Brits, Perry's ACW plastics, Sash & Sabre's ACW metals, Over The Wire's Weird War I game figures, etc.).

You, sir, are a hero for posting this. I am a HUGE VSF fan. This is amazing stuff and I can use it for Warhammer Historical to spice it up with VSF flair. The Martians actually look good, too. What is the size on the infantry like? Anyone know?

I don't agree with that. Copious rivets, impractical suspension, etc. All the hallmarks of a perfect IG vehicle.

What I don't like is the one-piece look of the hulls. They should consist of more paneling. I probably shouldn't have said details, because they are great looking models. But the lack of more panels and bits such as pipes and latches.
And the rivets appear to be rather large (which would work for tech idiots like orks, but the Mechanium has higher standards than that).

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money. |

for the Chimera, what if you added the armored transport wagon?
the biggest downside i see is it would have a huge footprint instead of one too small.
