The amount of options seems very promising!
I'll admit I like my ogres to have less human and more monstruos faces than the one they used as an example, and to be a little more on the bulky side. But if the options are good enough this can easely become the best monstrous infantry kit ever made!

There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

If you had suggested Warcraft style Tinker Gnomes with a mix of male and female models you would have had my vote, no contest.
My WoW characters were a female Goblin ranger, a female Gnome rogue, and a female Dwarf paladin. We're finally starting to see more female Dwarves but female Gnomes and Goblins (especially in plastic) are reduced to just a handful of 3d print sculpts...

Previews of our Late Romans continues with the last helmet types and a look at some of the other command options. Painting by Matthew Leahy.
This is preparing for shipping now and we are getting the last parts together for the additional ARMY BUILDER set for these. Goths are preparing to tool and the ARMY BUILDER for those is in process. Unarmored Romans, skirmishers, cavalry, and more of their enemies are coming together as we create the most complete hard plastic range for this period.

Yeah… I can see it. I wish I had thought of it before the contest. I have been so focused on lobbying for Jannissaries for so long that it blinkered me once the contest was announced.
The Blacklist Games Fantasy Series Gnomes just do not look Gnomish enough for me. The male versions will need to have some greenstuff beards on them at the very least. I have a Reaper tinker gnome that is one of my favorite figures.
And whilst not necessarily tinker style, I have converted GW Goblins into Gnomes (you can see them in my gallery).
Maybe Gnomes with modular steampunk ro… er I mean constructs?

Very promising start in terms of discussed options and style.
The sci-fi bits... maybe? Too many, and it feels like it would be at the cost of the historical/fantasy weaponry that one would have expected to see in the set. Too few, and they probably won't be interesting enough for sci-fi collections anyway.
Shield-and-buckler options and morion helmets sound promising for those interested in Conquistadorial Ogres though!

The Conquistadors look really good, and will certainly show up in a lot of Empire and Cities of Sigmar armies, I'm sure. The ogres winning the poll surprised me, and I don't have much use for them, but I hope they sell well.
Speaking of the poll, have the winners' emails been sent out yet? I haven't heard anything from WA yet.

I love these conquistadors. I am not a historical player but may get a box to use them in some solo/co-op/skirmish games as heroes/city guard/bandits etc. and/or conversions fodder.

Im definitely picking up some Conquistadors myself. Apparently historical gamers are unhappy with the Conquistador kit because its not historically accurate and uses a mix of costume, armor, and equipment from across an extended timeline and doesn't come with enough of any of it to build out a force with the right mix while maintaining period accuracy.

If anything, the most recent poll taught us that the so-called Historical Gamers are a bunch 'o jerks that get extremly angry whenever anything is in the slightest bit a-historical and isn't tied to their very specific time period.

Is there a list of contents for the sprues?
Last I saw there seemed to be a bit too many handguns, but I thought it was quite versatile myself.

Isn’t the idea that every feudal soldier had access to the same contemporary uniform and equipment ...ahistorical? Wouldn’t some of them be wearing hand-me-downs or scrounged armor or the like?
Anyway, for every historical gamer the kit loses it will likely pick up two fantasy gamers.

Yes, soldiers of the Tercios didn't wear a uniform, but rather whatever they were able to afford/liked. Later on, the king established a system to avoid the issue that some (many) of the "bisoños" literally didn't have money to buy clothes by which they were given a set of clothes as advance pay when they enlisted, which gave units a certain level of uniformity (but it was more side effect of the measure than expected outcome).
So there.

The conquistador set looks good. Hopefully they'll show us a sprue shot: we can compare it to the earlier one shown and see if changes were made. Still, this set will be useful. Also, one can stick Stargrave arms on them for Death Fields conquistadors. Add a bit more variety to SG crews.

For anyone not on their Facebook page, the Grand Canyon (and its inhuman residents) is an inside joke there. This picture is a tease, like Samuel L Jackson mentioning the Avengers Initiative in the Iron Man post credits scene.
