So, after saying goodbye to the Canadian site just the other day, the Oz site has now been subsumed into GW's global site as well. See ya later mate, we shared good times.

But on the upside, we get confirmation on Oz prices for the new Guard stuff...

It's not on the site, but information to hand is that the Battleforces will be $5 more expensive (at $155) like we're seeing with the US price.

Oh well, off to Maelstrom games, where it's cheaper to buy from overseas than it is to literally drive five minutes to my local GW.

The Australian site was great because the online store loaded in about 3 seconds and was a great way of checking prices in a hurry for comparisons with online discounters.

Guess those days are gone...

Well it's indicative of GW today as opposed to GW yesterday - their website is now just a giant store. Nothing of actual substance, just a store. They're akin to Amazon, but their shipping is faster.

And more expensive until you cross the 100USD barrier...

Which is why God chose to gift humanity with Maelstrom Games UK, so we'd never have to bother with dealing with GW directly or shipping costs.

Shipping from UK to Aus is cheaper and faster than from the US (no major oceans to cross). I wouldn't consider a US online store unless they had something I couldn't get elsewhere, just because of shipping times. The Aussie dollar is also stronger agains the Pound than the US Dollar.

I'm with HBMC.

Apart from one paint brush and some shoulder pads and a mailorder exclusive giant eagle I've only bought from Maelstrom Games for over a year now.

30% saving (willing to put up with a 7 day shipping wait) on getting in the car and driving the 3km to my local GW.

These people are australian and are cheaper[?] last time i checked with cheap magnets and Gale force 9 or whatever they are called, you can buy any bits almost and box sets cheaper

Eg. You can get a Piranha for 24.99 [without box] but still complete or with box for 31.99 thats a pretty good deal
