Would you buy them and if so which ones?

[edit] Assuming they were 'nice' sculpts and 'reasonably' priced by whatever standard you hold for these factors.

I'd buy the Stormbolter and Lightning Claws equipped Imperial Guard Captain.

I voted for the dawn of war eldar farseer, simply because I saw it as the hardest of them to convert well on your own.

Depends how well they are represented , the usual stunted look from GW sculptors? none. If they are like FW quality then SM comander with hair , and the 2 far seers.

I would get the Farseer and Cannoness definitely, and probably the Ork and Tau commander.
I never quite clicked with the Dark Eldar, and while the chaos guy was cool wargear wise, he wasn't very exciting to me.

I liked Stubbs so I'll say the IG captain,or the farseer.

Personally, I think seeing the characters from the original DoW would be cool, honestly.


I'd buy a Sindri, were it available.

Lukas Alexander or Vance melon-fething Stubbs, we need a cool Guard commander with a pair of lightning claws and storm bolter.

For those of us that never played the DoW games.. what do they look like? Any chance of getting a picture/screenshot to help with voting?

I'd pick up the farseer for sure, the SM commander, and the ork boss. Possibly the Tau commander, if only for a reason to start grayskins.

Oh yeah, and Kronus the necron's lord - much cooler looking than the current lords in production.

Couldn't find the imperial guard commander.

But,yes I'd probly buy the Ork Boss.

I'd get Gen. Sturn, Taldeer, Macha, and DOW2 Farseer, Gabriel Angelos, Eliphas the Inheritor and thats it.

Farseer Taldeer, and, yeah, the Necron Lord form Kronus too. That'd probably be it tbh...although DoW made Warp Spiders cool for the 1st time since 2nd Ed, so DDoW inspired models (and rules) for those? I'd buy 30.

Maybe a better question might be,

WHY doesn't GW make the options from the DOW series of games available?

such as the dual lightningclaw/stormbolter gauntlets,

The X25 armor for the tau leaders.

The weapontry for the Space marines

CHAOS CULTISTS

etc.

The availability of special characters is not that big a deal when you don't get the option of weaponry that doesn't exist.

I'd buy a DoW2 character if it were a plastic kit that came with all of the weapon options. Especially the warboss.

I collect Blood Ravens 3rd Company, so I would very much like Captain Gabriel Angelos, and maybe librarian Isador for good measure.

They also need to make a model for the Control Point Objective IIRC I remember seeing a model for it, think someone converted it?

I'd pickup the DoW2 Ork Kommando Nob Commander. I like the way he looks and Snikrot, while a very cool model, doesn't quite do it for me.

I would definitely pickup the Eldar Female Farseer.

I was thinking about this yesterday, they could do a series of limited edition metal models that are in-store for a month and then go to direct only.

They put the rules in WD and on the web, and they do one a month. Could be like:

Stubbs (special rules for being awesome)
Taldeer & Vindicare Assassin (give them rules that have them on the same side - opponent can take an Eversor for a 'Bad End')
Bale & Sindri (special rules against 'Metal Boxes')
Angelos & Isador (special rules for being a traitor)
Orkamungus (special rules for always getting away!)
Tau Commander Guy (no special rules 'cause he's Tau)
Eliphas The Inheritor (just so we can get that bitchin' Cursed Crozius)

It'd be heaps of fun, and give a character to most armies.

Having watched it, the whole 'SPESS' Marine thing is a total over-reaction. The Marine has a very specific English accent, and he is saying Space Marines, it's just a very short 'a'.

I am English (don't let the flag fool you) and I can tell you if that's an English accent, then the dude must have been high as a fething kite.

Oh, really? I never played through the single player campaign for any of the DoW's other than Dark Crusade, and I didn't play as Chaos in Soulstorm.
