elagamalagah - As you can see from some of the responces, most of these threads turn into stupid name threads. This is partly because it's funny, partly because it's fun to make fun of the Space Marines (HURR!), and partly because coming up with Marine Chapter names that don't sound either stupid or derivative is not that easy. The main thing to do is do your research. I say this because whenever you think of a cool idea you should look it up immediately, otherwise you'll find out that Chapters you invented (and thought you were so clever for inventing) turn out to already exists, or, worse, someone already had a similar idea to yours for a Chapter.

It's annoying to say the least...

This is all going off of the fact that they're blue. If you have created some history for them then that will make them a bit easier to name other than just from the colour scheme.

Echoing HBMC's suggestion: Here's an easier way to work it out:

1. Pick aspect. Example: "Ice".
2. Pick some mytholigical name associated with the above.
3. Add "sons of", or "imperial" or "emperor's" to it.

Example:

Ice: Frost Giants: Jotunn (Norse Mythology) or their world, Jotunhiem

Sons of Jotunn
Scions of Jotunn
Children of Jotunn
Defenders of Jotunhiem
Guardians of Jotunhiem
Lords of Jotunhiem
Castelians of Jotunhiem
etc.

Though - In your case, you could just go with "blue" as well.

Azure/Cerulean "insert animal / mythological beast here / knightly order" here.

Azure Drakes Chapter of Space Marines
Cerulean Templar Chapter of Space Marines
etc.

A+ to Keezus. That is an excellent naming tutorial. Should make it into a random name generator that we could link any time a name thread pops up. I still find EBON useful when naming my toy soldiers.

Kudos to Keezus.

Marines are really knightly orders. Think of something grand sounding.

Also, realize that many Loyalist chapters have fearsome names (the Fleshtearers, for example), and some of the Chaos chapters have imperial names (in particular, the Emperor's Children) or just non-committal names (the Alpha Legion for example).

From Keezus, this is the one that I'd pick:

Blue doesn't have to be ice related. What about something like the 'Sky Hawks' or Sons of Chronus (Chronus being the sky and the father of Zeus in Greek mythology).
