I really like this model. Hopefully with the options, now we can just merge the heavy bolt rifle captain in with the rest of the new Gravis options.

Let me guess, you were hoping for assault aggressors, primaris flyers and primaris jump units too for your marine character?

In seriousness it was an option that was oop, good on them for providing a way for people to get the model with that loadout.

I'm a fan of the two swords. While subtle, they nicely differentiate themselves from other sculpts.

I'm surprised that no rumour monger got this dude on their radar.

He's alright, I guess. Gravis does nothing for me and I'd rather if GW cut it out with that nonsense and finally started making Primaris Terminators instead.

The swords are cool, though.

I'd like all of the above, but honestly most other armies could use more HQ models with alternate options more. Anything for marines is just kinda bonus really.

Look on the plus side, I believe this now means that all marine codex options are available to purchase, so there is no reason for any more marine releases for the foreseeable.

Granted, there will probably be a new codex in the summer to re-start the countdown, but all data sheets currently have a model for sale now, or some way to purchase the model (judiciar in the overpriced set etc).

I think there is a primaris wave 4 coming. Maybe this one will have jump intercessors and a hover vindicator.

Gauntlet and Fist share stats, but the Gauntlet doesn't count as a Fist for Relics purpose such as the Fist of Terra for Imperial Fists.

Eh, techmarine and ancient can be converted from other SM kits. Not really a priority. What is a priority, though, is finally releasing the gravis/vanguard leaders (hopefully in a single box, like the Chaos Terminator lord/psyker kit) because it's the most glaring hole in GW range. Especially the gravis ones, because if you want make thematic, legal gravis company, limit of captains to 1 and lack of any other gravis HQ forces you to use dumb gimmicks like using both gravis captain datasheets then promoting one to chapter master (which, incidentally, HMBC, is the reason why they are separate - the fact that thanks to GW ineptitude primaris 1st company can't be done any other way - and now you know and can stop with the repetitive, non-sequitur copy/paste)

I'd very much prefer GW do the above, THEN waste plastic redoing kits that already have perfectly serviceable minis and/or conversions. But that would be actually logical and competent thing to do

And yes I know, "Marines have too many dataslates as it is!", and that's true, but there are places where they could cut that down (like not having two different entries for the Gravis Captain, for one thing).

Here's an idea. Make one datasheet for each character and just give them the different armors as an upgrade option.

I don't know how we ever lived through decades of that terrible practice before GW graciously freed us of that burden...
