Update from me: no luck getting my uncle to call me back, so far. Regardless, I won't be removing my statement against (T)Heath, as seeing the other post he is no where near mature enough to deserve the politeness I was giving him.

Am I the only one, or did anyone else notice that, on the other site, he claimed to still be trading here but keeping a low profile while doing so?

I thought I read something he had written about him watching this thread, but I missed if he had said that he was claiming to still be trading here!! If you would be so kind, can you copy+paste?

OH-I Wanna get out of here

Well here is what I can tell you. I sent this to GW/FW and they did in fact take this info and the recasts for their case. These are the conversations between myself and Heath, and my brother and Heath. You will see the inferior quality of his casts, which even if they were of good quality I doubt this many would complain, or even notice.

he lives in the USA and his grammar is worse than my 15 year old brother. he is clearly a primary school/high school kid and thinks he can get away with the scamming without any consequences. People like this need to be taught some life lessons and you should cut the ties and report this seriously to the authorities.

That's what I meant to say, either way he lives in a fluently speaking English country. If its obvious to me that he is a kid who is trying to scam everyone on this site, then it should be obvious to everyone else.

In that thread, on 9/30 at 6:49, "wardancer" posted this link:

It's in one of those, somewhere. He wasn't blatant about it, he just kind of casually mentioned something about still trading here or something. Frankly, it's too much reading for me to go through it all again.

Respectfully, Maccar, you couldn't be farther from right.
I mean, I'm not saying it ISN'T a kid/teen. I'm saying that the grammar automatically makes him one. I've been online for a long time, and I've been trading for a long time. Some of the worst grammar I've seen has been from adults.

I think thats why the mods are keen to protect users, even ones that dont deserve it.

i have had grey and white resin models/parts come straight from FW, the best example of this is my FW Eldar Scorpion Type II. the whole model was the normal color except for the turret which was white. I had to take pictures when i sold it.

and yes, FW does outsource to china and the casting is much better there.

To end the discussion about Heaths age, check page 2, at the bottom. One mentions meeting Heath, and seeing Heaths child comment redacted

So I wonder if he uses a fake name when shipping/receiving trades here? He must, his given name is too well known. Kind of scary that he claims to still be a member here.

See, herein lies the whole problem. This is the internet, obviously. It isn't hard for someone who is under fire for a bad transaction to have "internet friends" chime in on their side. The problem also goes both ways. You can't even really use "trusted trader" threads to reliably check someone's background. Sadly those kinds of tools are typically used exclusively. Hell, even when handling a problem transaction, you can't give someone the benefit of the doubt just because they have a good track record. Everything about an online trade market is up in the air, and someone's guilt or lack thereof seems to hang entirely on public opinion, even if facts state otherwise.

So long story...longer, the answer is yes, it is possible.

If being known here was a true problem for him, he could get a postal box and use a different name when posting and start fresh. Considering he doesn't means either 1) He isn't as well known as people think, or 2) He does not care if he is recognized.

Oddly enough, the repeated behavior could be prosecuted here in the states under Deceptive Practice statutes, though I do not really see any prosecutor taking the case on considering the amount scammed per transaction isn't great enough to really land on their radar. You would probably need to add up the entire financial scope of his habits to really get a number to interest any litigator.

That's just my two cents though.

He would be identifiable enough if he started trading, simply by the fact he'd be offering up Forgeworld goods, and giving off the usual atrocious spelling.

Ignoring the usual ip checks and suchlike.

However, if he managed to start trading here again under a different name, with authentic goods, and following through with these trades, well, that's no problem really either at the end of the day.

While I personally do not like Mr. Heath and what he has done to a lot people over the last year I have to agree with Ketara. I don't think there should be a place here for him but over the last several months he has only been promoting his game club tournies and selling orignial 40k stuff. His last sales on E-Bay after they forced him to stop selling recasts have been originals. Because of this I have been lurking and watching him and his sales.

Like I said before, if he stuck with that I do not care since it is legal but when I saw that he was attempting to offer his recasted FoW stuff I needed to send up a warning flare to everyone. Before I get flamed here, I am not advocating that he should be allowed back on Dakka or on any website that offers trades. This entire mess is of his own making that could have been solved easily but someone of his personality will always be a serial defrauder. The last two years starting with Peter Pig up to now ample evidence has been provided to prove my point of view which I believe most people share.

It does seem that the Admins and Mods of warhammer.org.uk do not know what they have on their hands or don't know how to handle it. Since they allow his ability to log on to their site someone will have to continue to monitor his activities as he monitors ours. Yes Mr. Heath someone will always be watching you so playing possum will not work.

If he sells obvious original models more power to him but the second that he reverts to recasting or scamming people out of their stuff I will warn you all with what he is peddling.

Qft

A thought also occurred in my head. What if there are several people in on this act? I mean Heath is out in the open, his days are done. But what if others in Liverpool, or hell anywear. Are buying/defrauding people and giving Heath the original w/e to then sell the recasts. Added in with Heath publicly known as a recast and frauder, what if others are selling his recasts and when people call it out they can honestly claim "this guy called Heath sold them to me." People know Heath is a recaster, so it would be easy for one to believe someone's claim that Heath ripped them off.

@Takeshishin

People that does illegal business flock together. Im sure they cover each other's back with more lies. Not to mention, everytime there is a scam, there is a limited window before they are caught with that item. Multiple scammers selling same thing can increase the efficiency for that window.

A quick update since Mr. Heath has kept his head low. It looks like he still has been buying and selling single used figures. Also he has started a positive trade feed back thread for himself on www.warhammer.org.uk. Here is the link:

http://warhammer.org.uk/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=68&t=99387&p=1203986#p1203986

The only post in there is for a trade for SM Dreadnought bitz. I will keep a close eye on this because it may be him thinking the coast is clear. So, if anything odd pops up I will be quick to post on here an update for everyone.

Happy and safe trading everyone.

His name and many a.k.a. was posted on the third page of the TR. I think his address was posted also somewhere within the 9 pages of the TR also.

Just reposting the information of confirmed recaster and scammer so people do not have to scan through 9 pages of the TR.

He recasts Forge World items and Flames of War vehicles. His recasts are primed black as to hide the color of the resin used (he did this a lot on EBay). There has also been a lot of armies, units and several other gaming items that are traded and his end of the transaction is not sent. He also will pay with Paypal, haggle for the cheapest shipping cost (insists on USPS First Class international) so there is no tracking info. Then he will put in a Paypal claim for non-receipt of the item(s) so he gets his money back.

If you traded any Chaos CSM stuff with Mr. Heath go onto Ebay. He selling some stuff under the name LizHeath2010. It is the same horrible blurry, whited out photographs and black basecoated minis he use to do when he was selling miscasts and trading stolen items. Take a look to see if any of these items are yours that he took from you.

Its been awhile since I posted an up date about the one that shall not be named. I am still watching is online activity and the ebay auctions for anything that could be him returning to his old ways. Well here is what is going on:

1. His ebay profile has been buying and selling lots of original nib and nos sprue stuff. There is a few private autions but that was him buying (pron, casting stuff? Who knows).

2. He has dropped of the forum warhammer.org.uk. He had quite a number of trades on there then dropped off the face of the earth. This includes his pimping for his game club.

3. This tread has hit most major gaming forums so the word is out about the scams he was running. I am hoping this lack of activity meana he has changed his activity.

If I notice anything I will be back to inform you guys. Happy gaming and trading everyone.

It has been a little bit over two years since this journey has began and I believe it has been worth while. It does seem that if he has been recasting it has been for himself or sold in face to face transactions.

I have been reviewing his many ebay names and he did buy a large box of needless medical syringes. These could be used for many things including in casting. Because of this I will keep an close eye on FoW used armies and smaller FW objects that can be flat casted.

Well back to keeping the vigil and still show him that someone will always be watching.

I have been watching this man on websites ans Ebay for years making sure that he does not return to his old ways. Well, today sure as sh1t he is selling primed versions of the tanks I sold him years back that started all this. So as a warning just beware that these very well could be recasts.

Here is the Ebay postings:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/very-rare-oop-Pre-Forge-world-armor-cast-oke-Gobsmasha-battle-tank-/221385627473?pt=UK_Toys_Wargames_RL&hash=item338b9c9751#ht_271wt_923

He likes to recast models and then base coat them black hoping no one will notice. It seems that he has got a new camera. I will blow up the pictures to see the details closer but I have a doubt that these original. That would be his way.

Here is a picture from him to me that was posted earlier of the same minis. Look for the damage on the barrels.
