Makes sense, i was seeing the army as a count as Space Marine Chapter rather than the entire Imperium. Both work.

Yeah, I'm thinking that's a little overboard, and REALLY extensive/expensive to Mod up. I'd stick to a Chapter of Ponies, with maybe a single Pony-Primarch (PonyMarch?)

On a vaguely related note, I found myself pricing out a Snork's Tau list the other day, because there's all this Pony goodness but the Xenos in me requires Fishies.

It could even be fluffy, the Gene Seed resulting in horrific mutations in aspirants, turning them into ponies.

It even fits with established fluff, as the chapters of the 2 lost primarchs were incorperated into the Ultramarines, and it's implied those 2 primarchs were removed due to some horrible deformity / mutation, it stands to reason their legacy (their geneseed) would carry the chance of that mutation.

One of the Primarchs was a pony. xD

They would have been slaughtered and wiped from the records but for the fact all are powerful psykers (able to pick up and fire guns with their mind and all...)

I think that is the best way to go as well. They haven't mentioned an appropriate historical character in the series to be Primarch or Emperor so just use one of the 'deleted' Primarchs. You wouldn't be able to field a Primarch anyway, far too powerful.

Or, if you absolutely must, make them non-Imperial forces... not exactly the case that during the Great Crusade only the Emperor's forces had access to power armour.

It's a joke and a bit of fun. We didn't see attempts to make Hello Kitty SoB fluffy (we didn't, did we?)

I think you mean canon more specifically than fluff but that's not the point: It is just for fun, it's a laugh to wind this story into the universe. Don't wet yourself Games Workshop aren't employing DPB to write the next rulebook. Hahaha!

Rarity in mk 5 heresy armor.... guess someone is gone betray them all anyways still loving what is coming only one thing that came to my mind evere tought about making somekind of servo-arms from necron arms and make more like a backpack that holds their weapons up a bit like AJ melta arm just a bit more longer also ideas poped up in my head of other wh40k ponies (and its better to show then hold them in ) so here they are

Lyra Heartstring= ordo xenos inquisitor (she wants to meet xenos with hands )
Spike in scout armor
Derpy AKA DItzy Doo= storm trooper with ze googely eyes (unmasked prefered)
Big Mac = bezerker of khorn
Bonbon= slaneesh marine (idk why )
HOGZ (or porkz) IS DEMANDED IN MEGA ARMOR
somepony with assault cannon and heavybolter backpack (maby Octavia)

I think if we're going to fluff them *snickers* it'd be far easier it call it a Chaos Mutation that didn't go over to the other side. They got Warped, but are convinced Pony is the natural state for a Marine, and all the fleshy two legs are mutant abominations, I mean, all the Chaos Marines have just 2 legs, right?

I was actually thinking of a MLP 40k storyline. essentially, the Equestrian Empire is what the Imperium was in the 31st Millenium. 7 Legions of Mare-ines (or pony Marines or whatever), each led by one of the main characters (Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy and Derpy) as a Primarch (Pri-Mare?). I know that their were 18 discovered Legions, but I don't think that their are enough major MLP characters to get that number without getting too silly (I know, i know... I mean on a Matt Ward or Rob Cruddace scale!)

So, while the Imperium battles Orks, Tyranids and Chaos on the Eastern fringe and in the Galactic North, the Equestrian Imperium - led by it's seven legions - is beginning to culture-hug its way out of the far edge of the Segmentum Obscurus (Galactic west). That way i can engage myself in an interesting story, Marines can battle ponies, and the Doppelganger theory is put into effect (on a galactic scale in this case: 10 thousand years out, maybe so, but the Imperium and the Equestrian Empire are almost the same, but one is closer to what the other was).

I'd stick to that it's a rare 'flaw' of the geneseeds left from the XI Primarchs marines absorbed into the ultramarines. xD

Sounds about right for my army ^.^ one was luna and the other celestia who are still around in the imperium, its just that the big E doesn’t want the enemy’s of the imperium to know he’s a brony so he put all the pony marines in ultra smurf armour and made up the other stuff about the two pimarchs being killed to avoid detection :3 also, awesome pic ^_^

I agree, this is the story line i'd definitely run with if i were you.
