I really wish JoyToy would do supplemental weapon packs for their figures to give us more options in general, though.

Yeah, those are 3rd Party upgrades. There's plenty of 1/18 scale stuff out there to use, just would be nice to get some official ones.

Glad to see they're still doing proper MkIII marines. Although I have to work on the assumption that these were in the works before GW released the nu-MkIII, because otherwise I can't really see a reason for them not doing the new version.
Fingers crossed if/when they do Dark Angels, we get this style MkIII.

Maybe JOYTOY looked at the new MKIII and just said "no".
JoyToy uses the GW digital sculpts as the basis for their figures, every piece on their figures is a direct upscale of an existing GW asset. They're using the old MkIII assets because that's the existing model assets they received to make these.

My 100% totally and obliviously serious response has been destroyed by basic information. Who could have predicted such an outcome?!

I don't think it is the overall kit but the changed helmet. The majority of the complaints I've seen are about that piece with lots of posts/videos about "how to fix" it by removing the point, using the older MK III plastic helms, or printed helms.
Amidst the mists and coldest frosts he thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts.
