They look cool, I've just got no idea what the story is here.

Well, we don't know for sure, because they're not an official reveal, but one can assume they're going to be scaled to the rest of their Warhammer line.

Thanks for that.
I've been following their other stuff on Ali, but somehow I missed the fact that they have a 1:18 line. Just googled it and WOW!

A fair warning, i personally didn't have the greatest experience with JoyToy figures - some joints are really loose, and some things snap really easily as you try to pose them.

Yeah. Nothing you can't fix. But you need time, the tools and to know how to do it.

Which might be a bit too much of a hassle for someone importing expensive action figures from overseas, especially if they're not crazy into those.

I have a few of the Primaris Marines and they are pretty freakin cool and really aren't that expensive for what you get. 30-40USD for a GW little plastic statue or 40-70USD for a 1/18th scale figure. I dont do much table top games anymore but like the figures so these are a great thing to me. That being said Im not a fan of the tanks so much but if priced right id consider getting one. Remember the invictor war suit is around 150/200USD so I see a price range for the tanks to be 4-600 range and yeah thats a little out of my comfort zone.

That tracks. Definitely a wow appearance wise but not something I'm be investing in. I bought a squad of their 1:25 trooper action figures on super sale. Neat to find some figures in roughly the same scale as Exo Squad, but they are brittle and one of the necks was broken.

The "land of the lost" pack of cheap unpainted pirated 28mm mecha was cool though. Might have bought a few of those....

Given the scale, won’t that just be a cos-play costume?

These are from big bad toy store. The ones from joytoy world have yet to arive and they already took my money. Only problem with these figures is that the extra hand's wrist holes are too small and I needed the enlarge them to fit the wrist sockets.

Those weapons did not scale up well...

Otherwise, nice designs, though I think it would take non-primaris to tempt me.

Yeah it's probably my biggest peeve around 40k cosplay and larger scale models - they assume the weapons on the minis are 1:1 and just upscale, creating these ridiculous looking toy props rather than real weapons.

I'm using the Acid Rain figures for Guardsmen. They're beautiful, and will look better when done, but they are definitely not robust enough for even light play. Even the Marines have issues. The base figure for the WIP below is the Death Company Sergeant. His left leg is loose at the upper to lower thigh joint and falls off, right out of the box. The Guardsman is the Steiner figure, just the helmet and weapons replaced.

Yeah, they do look damn good, but man are they bad at being action figures. The first - and last - thing I bought for them, a mecha figure, had it's finger and arm joints so lose it was pretty much impossible for it to hold anything, making most poses just look like it's A-posing Team Fortress 2-style from above the waist. So I just ended up reselling it within like, a week, and never buying from JoyToy again.

This all makes me realize I'd love to see some Transformer cross-overs with 40K.

Optimus Prime Land Raider.
Bumblebee Rhino.

Starscream Heldrake.
Megatron Baneblade.

Constructicon Dreadnoughts.

And even Insecticon Tyranids.

I have seen Orktimus Prime, and the Baneblade Transformer. But never the Attackbike/Dread. Searching on Google didn't turn up anything either. If you ever see it again I'd love a picture. Always interested in good conversions.

Not to knock things off topic but IIRC it was Dakka poster Barpharanges back in the days of EZ Board. I did a check of google and even my own hard drive hoard and can't find it. It's possible I'm misremembering who did it.

There is an official Transformers/other properties crossover line now so it's not completely impossible.

I would note that line makes GW's normal prices look reasonable however.

New toolings, licensing fees, and 2(soon to be 3) entirely new molds(neither of which have had reuses to spread the costs) for small runs aren't cheap. And they still not as expensive the Collector's Club new tooled exclusives.

I continue to be both baffled and amused at the lack of extras the Chaos bois get vs the Marines. Mostly amused because of how well it mirrors the situation in the actual game.
