Along the lines of the typical GW model promotion I was expecting something along the lines of:

This should really just be Wave 1.5 as this is all stuff being released pretty much at the same time as the codex. I'm hoping the really good (x2) second wave hits like in a few months or something.

They called it wave 2 but this isn't wave 2. There has to be something else release in between releases for it to truly be a second wave.

Wave"2" or Wave "3" whatever comes after this lot is what we're all waiting for.

How can they call a rehash of the battleforce boxsets a "second wave release"???? i belive they are extracting the urine from us.

I received my Commissar Lord and Advisors today. I love it how the releases in the second week count as 'Wave 2'. What a crock...

I was checking on my order. I guess the Primaris Physker is not in stock, so they are removing it and sending me the rest of the order which does include the Commissar Lord and Advisors.

I think I'm missing something... I knew about the Battleforce box sets months ago and waited. Am I truely missing something here or did none of you seriously know about it?

I don't get it, although I think I like the new Battleforces. It would not have killed them to put two Sentinels in.

True that. Considering that you actualy CAN'T run a infantry platoon with the battleforce it kinda removes alot of raw manpower out of the kit. The only way i see running the IG battleforce is using the troops as vets... even tho pretty much 70% of the items ain't included to make them worth their points (meltas and shotguns are a good example)

It's also worthy to note that you can't field the heavy weapon teams with the items in the battleforce. What the feth was GW smoking when they planned the battleforce?

You can use the battleforce content to make an infantry platoon. 20 Guardsmen and a PCS, right? I'm very upset about the lack of a Russ though.

Sadly that's only 1 troop choice. You also lose your HQ choice if you take a PCS.

And yes, it's utter lackluster without a russ ):

so its like every other battleforce?

Yes. Every other battleforce is lackluster without a Russ.

The Eldar battleforce needs a Russ. Everyone should have Russes.

Personally, I like it without the Russ.

Not everyone wanted to do a force supported by heavy armour, and that kept me from buying battleforces. Really, it did. The only Cadians I have ever bought had been the standard boxes.

Now, when the Leman Russ Company set came out? I snatched one up from my FLGS at something like 30-40ish % off(that was the standard discount they were running for Apocalypse deals. It was *awesome.*) I've got all the tanks I could ever want sitting, unassembled, at the moment, just waiting for inspiration to strike with this new Guard Codex.

Well, that and a good idea on how to make Pask.
