Beautiful board. I fully intend to steal and utilize your methods for my own board application. If I can find plywood on the cheap that is. I'm stuck with chipboard at the moment unfortunately. And paint has a bad habit of not covering it very well.
I especially love how you've mixed the GW board with some of your urban terrain in the last shot. Though adding a few scattered hab structures and roads outside the wall as a kind of slum/industrial area would look good too.
For those who have trouble finding plywood at any price, a good alternative, albeight weaker in overall structure, is a flat faced, hollow-core door. If you can pick one of these up in undestroyed condition, they make for good light boards. They're fairly uncommon outside of old houses and garbage dumps these days, but if you see one available, by all means snag it.

"For the last two boards I've made, I used plywood. It lasts longer and resists warping. but you could use cheaper wood like MDF"
No way MDF is cheaper than ply, were you thinking particle board? I prefer MDF for all modeling applications, I don't know why you would choose ply over it.

I am currently working on a table following your tutorial! I have the board, fram, and card stock all assembled, glued, stapled and what not. i still nee to wait for nicer weather to paint this sucker (since i will be using a number of spray paints. Since i have an extra 2' x 4' plywood board, i am thinking of butchering that into some of your urban hills, or cut it in half for 2 2'x2' segments. but i ran out of card stock! i have to admit this board looks pretty nice, thanks for the tutorials! i greatly appreciate the advice you have been presenting. Maybe i can post a picture of wip, and completed board after the project is done. Automatically Appended Next Post: P.S. i bookmarked your tab of terrain tutorials.

I'm against MDF as it tends to just generate dust unless you cover every inch, including underneath with paint, depends how lazy you are :p
