I was cleaning out my basement tonight, starting at my now obsolete terrain table. I have been consolidating all the crap I've let get loose and pile up over the years and pitching
some of the stuff I've had for a decade or more that I will never, ever use.

In the midst of my purge, guess what I found?
262 Skullz from the GW Skullz promotion in the '90s. 262 unredeemed silver skullz stickers staring at me from their still-connected wax paper backing.

I remember being SOOOO angry back when the promotion was going to end because I couldn't find my Skullz anywhere. Do you guys realize what kind of
never-to-be-made-again collector's miniatures I could have in my possession? This is a minis collector's nightmare, let me tell you.

Phone GW head quarters tell them about it, more possibly then not they'll send you some gifts for it.

Yeah, call em up and ask if theyll take em. We all know that GW customer service is fairly good, so you might get lucky.

I don't think it's THAT good...I will be genuinely surprised if they give a damn. If they agree to redeem these stupid things and give you something for them I'll be impressed.

Because I will feel a little better, knowing that I threw all 262 of them in the garbage last night before posting this thread and then going to bed. The same garbage that I put out to the street last night. The same garbage that they picked up this morning...

So, yeah. They wouldn't have done anything for me anyway.

Read any and all fine print. Several companies that ran promos in the past never stated clearly upc, coupon, or whatever expitred when the contest ended...There are so many loop holes....I remember some lady on the news cashed in a lotto ticket that was 5 years old in PA because the disclosure did not properly state when to claim the prize by......

A few months ago, I found a $15 gift certificate from a promo they had back in '92 when they gave you a choice of a Rhino or a Leman Russ for subsrcribing to White Dwarf.
They ran out of Rhinos, so they sent me a gift certificate, instead. Out of curiosity, I called them up and asked if I could use it, the Memphis Battle Bunker said they couldn't.
The guy on the phone was amazed, but he said they couldn't honor it. Everywhere else, a gift certificate is the same as money, but not at GW.

Does the gift certificate have an expiration date on it? If not, you should be able get your $15.

Actually, congratulations are more in order than consolation, I think. Not only have I begun cleaning up my basement, but I actually listed a few items on eBay.
She's dumbfounded. (Personally, I think she's just plain dumb most of the time, but don't tell her I said that.)

I missed out on an eBay auction where that AdMech set was going for US$80. Eighty. And I missed it because my browser didn't load quick enough. I was livid.

But I think I've found an alternate source.

And I still have the Ltd. Ed. Ultramarine Standard Bearer and two Old Skool Assassin models from the Skullz promotion as well.

Honestly, the only really cool things you mised out on where the ad mechs, as it took 300 for the baneblade (old baneblade) or mega paint set.. which were the old, horrible screw cap paint sets. The rest of the skulls promo stuff is pretty much junk. And as HBMC stated, another company makes awesome ad mechs
