Kaelyssa is the foremost strike force commander of the Retribution’s mage hunters. Her sergeants claim she can hear the heartbeats of the enemy and taste their movements on the wind. Those wizards caught in her sights are left defenseless as their own magic is negated or turned against them. To Kaelyssa her calling is a dangerous but thrilling endeavor, and with every mission she extends the depths of her formidable talents.

Kaelyssa comes in a blister (PIP 35003). A player may field one Kaelyssa in his Retribution army.

I like how the Warmachine Elfs have totally not bought into the human ideal of exaggerated big, manly shoulders, and are sticking with their own subtle esthetic of exaggerated big, manly thighs.

He's got a mind like a steel trap. By which I mean it can only hold one idea at a time;
it latches on to the first idea to come along, good or bad; and it takes strenuous effort with a crowbar to make it let go.

Yes?

Very nice looking, but as already been noted, it will be interesting to see if they can pull it off!

She's gonna suck, she's only got a half cape. The competitiveness of a PP character is directly correlated to how much cloth is flowing off them.

Yeah, but them they probably couldn't be cast up properly for the miniature.

I hate the new faction's look. It doesn't belong in Warmachine at all. Function > fashion.

This seems more an attempt to draw the Japanese market than anything. coughtaucough

i find myself wondering how the sculpters will react to doing "ginormous thighs" instead of the standard "how can they see anything large shoulders"

Seconded.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

rofl, Tau? That's hilarious.

It's like Freud. Anything that's longer than it's wide is obviously a phallus.

She's a skinny elf with armored thighs and long ears with a crossbow. The closest thing to a
Tau look were the rectangle gun dudes on the cover of the book.

I'm still on the fence about its fit in the setting, however, maybe that's where your connection
to Tau is coming from. It doesn't quite fit just like how Tau don't fit in 40k.

Except you get used to it.

I'm not comparing their look to Tau, although if you look at the cover, a lot of the basic warriors' armament is similar. Aesthetically, they are like a blend of Eldar, Tau, and the madness of Joe Quesada.

What I'm trying to say is that much like Tau were an attempt by GW to encroach on the Asian market, HUGE FRIGGIN GREAVES AND ARMOR OF DOOM Angry Space Elves are an attempt by PP to do the same.

Granted, Khador has plenty of models with ridiculously huge shoulderpads (plenty being Iron Fangs and Vlad), but they need those to trumpet their enormous testicular fortitude.

It's just you. Remember, I studied Liefield's thighs a LOT.

I mean, I studied his artwork...I mean, dang.

Looks pretty cool! Like others have said, I will be impressed if they can pull it off with the same feel as the artwork. Looks like a unique take on the elves, while not departing too far from basic lore.
