Okay, Showa Genroku has my attention. Then again I happen to like theater, so I figured I would (the normalcy of the plot is nice, too.)

That makes more sense, it was the most popular in the last few years. Although it didn't even get that popular till a year or so after it aired.

Ok, Dagashi Kashi reminds me a lot of D-frag. That is such a good thing! Only tried 5 animes so far and out of those, 3 already conquered me. It's being a good season so far!

Yeah, when I found out Funimation got that show I went "huh?"

It made sense after I watched it. I'd make a joke about the dub cast being the same as D-Frag!, but it's Funimation so odds are good at least one of 'em will be.

I've liked every series I've tried this season, which is 3 so far (two on Funi not counting Snow White, and one on crunchyroll.)

Also watched Sound! Euphonium between seasons. Did not realize fist bumping was a thing in Japan.

Also to reply about anime that takes place in video games I think .hack is the most notable one, although there are quite a few spin offs if you want to count those. Also Digimon and it's sequels/spin offs kinda count. Aceel world, No Game No Life, Summer Wars. Those are just the ones I can think of off that top of my head that I've seen, I'm sure there's way more that I've come across and never watched

Ok, "Kono subarashii sekai ni shukufuku wo" is just wonderful it's a comedy about a guy that dies in an hilarious way (he's even mocked about it! ) and gets the chance to revive in a RPG like world.

The first ep was funny and it has just a tiny bit of ecchi to make it a la dente (can't have a decent fantasy world without busty tabern wenches!)

Also, I loved how Aqua was completely screwed by him

Sugoi is "amazing", "wonderful" or "terrific". Can also mean "terrible" (like The sheer destruction was amazing.).

Side note: Finishing Evangelion tonight. Observations (probably going to have a lot of people disagree with me) 1) This show fills the same gap as "Catcher in the Rye" it speaks to people (generally young people) at a very specific point in their life. If you're not at that point in your life, it'll be like pulling teeth to watch it. 2) Their budget issues and Anno's depression really caused this show to take a giant crap in the final third of the series. 3) Evangelion is best when Shinji gets into the fething robot. 4) Congratulations.

That is kinda my problem in general with YA fiction. It doesnt hold up unless you are in a certain mindset, preaching to the choir so be it, and that doesnt make it a good story. Maybe its because I skipped over the whole "Your special, your not like the rest of the sheeple, your different and everyone is just a poser" but all YA fiction is about that and I hate it. Because all it takes is one moment to realize, holy gak, everyone is fething different, and so are you, so your NOT SPECIAL AND GET INTO THE ROBOT HOLDEN

Finished Evangelion, episodes 25 and 26 were piles of hot garbage. If the series ended at the halfway point of episode 25 it would have been better. If it ended at 24, it would have the best outcome.

There an actual movie to retcon that ending, it's called The end of evangelion. It's pretty fething great.

Oh I know, maybe in a month or two I'll start to seek out The End of Evangelion, or the rebuild movies, but right now I just want anything that isn't Eva.

Erased keeps getting better and better, and feth you if you judge me, but Ojiisan and Marshmallow is 3 minutes of sugary adorableness.

Debating whether or not to watch the Little Busters anime. I can watch it for free on Crunchyroll, but I was hoping on getting the visual novel. Anyone know how much it costs and where I might find it?

So I uh decided to watch One Punch Man and I only watched 2 eps. It just seems rather bland and boring. Wheres the tnesion and the drama? Its a bad sign when you main character isnt the focus of the viewer. I'm more interested in Genos and his story. Not this bald guy guy who does this as a hobby.

I dunno, maybe I need to watch a bit more before it gets interesting.

The tension and the drama is "will Saitama have to use a second punch?" The early episodes are mostly just setting up for the Hero Association stuff. The thing about One Punch Man, is that it's not deep, it's not a deconstruction of the superhero genre, it's a comedy series. Most of the humor comes from the "hype meter" or, how much detail is given to Saitama. He's so laid back because he doesn't have a challenge, as shown with the Subterranean King, he got so hyped in the dream that everything was detailed, when the actual fight occurred it was over in seconds.

Most of the joy I got from the series besides the situational humor is just how much care went into the whole production. It was so well animated (even when there was no detail) that you can't help but be impressed. I mean I know it's Madhouse, but still it was such a well done series.

Edit: Grimgar is still dark as feth, and if you enjoyed Log Horizon, you should enjoy this. Dimension W is shaping up to be a decent action show.

"Hai to Gensou no Grimgar" was a good ep2 but I feel the sloooow pace of the second half was a wee bit too much.

In either case, it must suck to live in a Fantasy world where

Spoiler:
A Goblin takes that many hits to kill. That Goblin took a dagger to the neck, a sword through the torso, a greatsword to the head and only after multiple stabs did he die. Not to mention magic to the face that seems to have done 0.

Also, Ranta keeps being awesome and the one who gets gak done.

And was super impressed by the goblin while super dissapointed in all the 1s and 2s the party was rolling for everything.
