That's a pretty impressive collection. Now if somebody breaks into your house the only problem you're gonna have is deciding which gun to shoot them with.

When you were purchasing these weapons did you by any chance ask for a phased plasma rifle in the 40 watt range?

"And what is wrong with their life? What on earth is less reprehensible than the life of the Levovs?"
- American Pastoral, Philip Roth

Oh, Death was never enemy of ours!
We laughed at him, we leagued with him, old chum.
No soldier's paid to kick against His powers.
We laughed - knowing that better men would come,
And greater wars: when each proud fighter brags
He wars on Death, for lives; not men, for flags.

...and they wonder why we think that they're a bunch of gun loving lunatics. Dude, I'm pretty certain if this was replaced with porn someone would say you had issues

Live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about his religion. Respect others in their views and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life. Beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and of service to your people. When your time comes to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home.

An interesting observation I have made in other forums is that I could post a similar picture with all of my airsoft replica guns and as long as everyone knows they dont fire explosive propelled ballistics, nobody would call me a lunatic. And on the other hand, if owning real firearms makes you a lunatic, whats the difference between one and an armory, like this guy has? If he wants to actually hit you he can only wield one at a time. Does owning a bunch of them make you any more crazy?

I carry a metal water bottle around with me; I am excitable I could probably kill someone with it if anyone really gave me the reason. I will be looking into what my options are for carrying knives once I am trained.

No guns (or bows) in the immediate future although I do like killing things and eating them.

QFT.

For example:
The M1 Para Carbine is 100% origional made by Inland (General Motors Wartime)....
M1 Garand is 100% origional and I can trace the history back to the Marines Corps In the Pacific In WW2....
The Ak47 Bayonet I pulled off a Insurgent In Iraq...
The .30 Mauser is in 98% condition and all matching...
Kar98 german marked....
12 guage side by side over around 100 years old...
Top .303 is WW2 surplus...
Bottom .303 is WW1 Surplus.. (notice size difference)
Colt 1911A1 is 1943 origional production... was lend leased to GB and stamped on Frame, Slide, and barrel with the Tower Of London Armory along with a Property Of British Government Stamp on frame. 96% condition. Worth a boat load of cash.
1916 lugar... 94% condition.. Paid $400 at Estate sale... worth almost 3x that.
DPMS M4 in 7.62x39... is *now* Out of Production. Price has gone up almost $500 since I bought it cause of this.

As you can see for the most part, I am a collector. Most people put their money in banks hopeing that inflation or a bad economy doesnt wipe them out. I invest my money in guns. Laugh all you want, but since Obama came into office ive almost trippled my investment.

Cool collection, not just the amount but also the choices - that's just about a list of my favourites.

What's the difference between 98% condition and 94% condition? Is there a metric or scale that will objectively spit out 94%, or is just a term to indicate quality?

As you can see for the most part, I am a collector. Most people put their money in banks hopeing that inflation or a bad economy doesnt wipe them out. I invest my money in guns. Laugh all you want, but since Obama came into office ive almost trippled my investment.

Seriously, you invest in nothing but guns? There are hedging arguments in favour of investing a portion of your money in appreciating assets like collectibles, but all of your investments? That's a pretty risky strategy, dude.

100%= Like its brand spanking new out of the Box
50%= Its shootable, but nothing special
0%= Complete utter junk
Higher % = $$$
Lots of things goes into it... Rust, scratches, dings, Fadeing blueing, barrel rifleing wear ect ect brings it down.

Example: Due to Rare markings and Like New high % condition, my Colt 1911A1 with an origional leather holster is worth around $3500 US. Needless to say, I didnt pay near this for it.

Meanwhile my WW1 Enfield is much older, but is in horrible condition. Its worth only $200-300 US.

As for risky... So is the Stock, Economic, and Houseing Market. So far all three have lost money hand over foot while ive tripled my initial investment. If I was to sell everything (including some things I didnt list) I could easially cash in at around $40-45k...........

Cant wait until my Class 2/3 gets approved! .30 Cals=Cash Cows!

Cool. Just wondering if there was an exact meaning to 98% compared to 94%, or if they're just subjective. Like, would 98% mean slight weathering, and 94% mean a greater degree of weathering, while 80% might mean some parts have been replaced?

As for risky... So is the Stock, Economic, and Houseing Market. So far all three have lost money hand over foot while ive tripled my initial investment. If I was to sell everything (including some things I didnt list) I could easially cash in at around $40-45k...........

Yep, everything is risky. That's why it's also very risky to invest in nothing but stocks, or in nothing but your house, or whatever. By spreading out investments, a little in stocks, a little in housing, a little in collectables, you can reduce that risk considerably.

Look, I'm not saying don't do it, because if you love your collection, well then that's reason enough by itself. But if you really are looking at it as an investment, then I gotta say it's risky to have all your money tied up in one place.

The rest of my family owns about 3x more guns than you do. That is not putting them all together. Each individual family member owns 3x more guns than you have shown here.

Its pretty ridiculous actually.....
