Anyone assembled their Saillach, Beast of Cill Chonn Bog?
I received mine, and it comes with some dangling goo bits.
I have this image from Mierce website that shows one behind the right arm, but not the left

MEK-QAANO, DESTROYER OF WORLDS
Get the new limited edition version of Qaano before he sells out!

Converted by master-sculptor Allan Carrasco himself, Mek-Qaano, Destroyer of Worlds - based on the awesome Srónax Thuln, Qaano - was originally going to be our limited edition miniature for Salute 2020; but thanks to the COVID-19 lockdown, this year's event didn't go head. So we thought it would fitting to bring you Mek-Qaano anyway, so he can go a-world-destroying in the holy mother of the year that is 2020!

Mek-Qaano, Destroyer of Worlds

Strictly limited to one hundred casts and produced in a numbered blister pack, Mek-Qaano stands on a 60mm base and is 64mm tall to the eye, so he's a big lad for sure! With the chain-axe he's 134mm tall. You can see a 360° of him on his BaneLegions page, and a few have already sold, so be sure to grab your cast of him before he goes!

Now Mek-Qaano isn't just a collection of nuts and bolts, oh no; he's a mighty world destroyer, a sixteen foot tall legend in his own underthongs that comes complete with cybereye targeting and hard-fi spotify connection (listening to Maroon 5, mostly), a meld-armed depleted uranium belt-fed snub-cannon with back-mounted ammunition barrel and a fission-powered chain-axe shaped like the Baalor symbol, which is rather ominous for denizens of the fourth millenium. As if that wasn't enough, he subscribes to Reader's Digest and plays Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Well, everybody needs a hobby, even a two-ton woolly rhino-man with a predilection towards destroying worlds.

https://mierce-miniatures.com/index.php?act=pro&pre=mrm_blg_bnl_cha_058_000

and my metal reiver hunters are now listed as packing (along with a few more resins) so hopefully that's the first sign of their in house metal casting taking off.... althoughi probably have a few weeks waiting before the dispatch

Beat me to it Love 'im, dunno if I'll be pulling that big shipping trigger tho.

The email also said some stuff about the various limited editions that are available. I think mostly that stocks are getting low, I don't think these minis are limited release like other companies, more like limited quantity.

Some have 93 in stock, that's hardly "limied edition" from a Mierce perspective!

Update #34 from Darklands: Mighty Monsters Part Deux
Jun 5 2020
Ograx Reivers, Reived
Well - today is a red letter day, Miercenaries, because Yannick Fusier has finally completed the Ograx Reiver units. So here's another update for the Darklands: Mighty Monsters Part Deux project!

This week we have:

sculpt work in progress updates from Yannick Fusier;
a link to the forums where you can see this project's fulfilment;
a reminder that if you play Darklands, head to our forums to find more players!
...and anything else you can expect from us over the next few months.
Get some...

Yes, Yannick Fusier is still with us and finally, finally, finally the awesome Ograx Reiver Units are done.

Let's start with Kaanrod's Mob, the Shieldwall Ograx Reiver Unit, and give you a reprise of everything...

Kaanrod is the champion of the unit and gives it his name.

He looks superb!

Fraanko is now done... we were waiting on the shieldwall version of the banner bearer.

He's basically Maanfrad with a shield on his back...

Again, Kraal is basically Kaarl with a shield on his back...

...and we were waiting on him too. He's done now though!

We've seen Raalic before...

...but we love his big belly so here he is again!

We have also seen Aatto!

He looks amazing too! And rather angry...

We saw Graanko last time...

...but he's worth another view for sure.

Now Kraalo was also shown last time...

...but it wouldn't be right not to show him again!

So these guys are done, done, done and we should be getting our grubby paws on them later on this month. They are now slated for February 2021 release in our new Kickstarter schedule.

What's Next?

Yannick Fusier will do Murcunn and the Oghu Wardens, Oghureach Unit at some point. That means it's nearly the end for this project!

So after a fairly long hiatus it's time for a Darklands: Savage Hordes III Part Deux update!

This week we have:

sculpt work in progress updates from Bob Płociennik;
a link to the forums where you can see this project's fulfilment;
a reminder that if you play Darklands, head to our forums to find more players!
...and anything else you can expect from us over the next few months.
Check out these here

One miniature to show, for the Jutes, but in three formats...

So with mounted Ætulla being a part of this project, rather than convert the existing miniature we tasked Bob Płociennik to sculpt him digitally as it's bloody easier. That means, of course, we get a new version of him on foot, too!

Here's the Hooded Ætulla version on foot:

...and now, what you've all been waiting for, Ætulla on Horse!

It's not totally finished, but it's 98% there... hooded Ætulla on horse will be shown next time.

What's Next?

Jason Hendricks will be doing the great weapon versions of the Brute-Beasts at some point. Bob Płociennik has begun work on Savage Hordes III so it won't be long before he moves on to the cavalry from this project - although we'll probably get him to do the skorpions before anything else! Then the Cawrdraig... then the Wiht cavalry...!

UPDATE #34
Two's Up

Mierce MiniaturesCreator
June 5, 2020
The first update of 2020 for Darklands: Warriors of Baalor and it's another corker...

This week we have:

sculpt work in progress updates from Yannick Fusier;
a link to the forums where you can see this project's fulfilment;
a reminder that if you play Darklands, head to our forums to find more players!
...and anything else you can expect from us over the next few months.
Here we go...

We've a unit finished off by Yannick Fusier, for the Fomoraic, of course!

Yannick Fusier has finally finished Raad's Mob, the Two Club Ograx Reiver Unit! Swoon...

The champion of the unit is Raad

and he really is rad.

Fraado is like

Maanfrad. But with another weapon on his back.

Aarl is Kaarl. With another weapon on his back.

You'll have to imagine the horn of Kaarl in his left hand.

Graalog, an Ograx

with two clubs more than none.

An Ograx with two clubs

is Ottaak.

Aados has two clubs

now.

Naarl, he is an Ograx Reiver.

He likes to hit things with one of his clubs, and then hit them with the other club.

So that's it! Phew! Yannick has worked wonders on these guys and whilst it's been a very long wait, they're finally done. They'll be ready for a February 2021 release thanks to our updated schedule.

What's Next

Yannick will do the fully-armoured Haakon and the Ograx of Baalor; and Bob will be digitally sculpting the rest - Rikkaard in his various guises, and the Mammax...

Just got a large shipping order for metals and a pre-order.

So far I'm liking this new pre-order discount system they're using for new stuff.

Speaking of which they have a new one for giant rats and rat swarms

Probably only financially sensible for those in the uk but

Earn Moneyback by sending us your unwanted bases and dice!

An idea mooted originally by one of our customers, we know that some of you don't play Darklands and so don't need our Darklands round bases or Wulf D10 dice. This seems rather a waste in environmental terms, so we thought to offer you the chance to join in with our Darklands Base and D10 Dice Amnesty - basically meaning, if you send the bases and dice you don't use, want or need back to us we'll give you Moneyback on your account to spend on miniatures. How cool is that?!

Amnesty Rates

Here's what we'll give you for each and every item you send:
D10 Die - £0.10
•30mm Darklands round base - £0.10
•40mm Darklands round base - £0.13
•50mm Darklands round base - £0.16
•60mm Darklands round base - £0.20
•80mm Darklands round base - £0.30
•100mm Darklands round base - £0.40
•120mm Darklands round base - £0.60

That may not seem like a lot, but if you've got hundreds of bases you don't need you'll get a fair amount on your Moneyback!

Terms and Conditions

Please note that there are some terms and conditions attached to sending these items back to us.
•1: Unmarked - All of the bases you send back must be unmarked and unblemished - i.e., you can't send back used bases with paint, glue or clay or gravel all over them.
•2: Undamaged - Needless to say, everything sent back must be undamaged!
•3: Send by Trackable Delivery - You don't have to, but we urge you to send your unwanted bases and dice to us via trackable delivery. That way you're ensured your package will arrive and there'll be no disappointments!
•4: Moneyback Only - We will only add Moneyback to your account in exchange for the unwanted items you send back to us, so do not ask us to send you cash or PayPal you, etc.
•5: Same or Following Day - As soon as we've received your package and your bases / dice are counted and verified, we'll send you an e-mail and add the Moneyback to your account!
•6: Shipping Costs - We won't compensate you for the cost of shipping the returned items to us.

Please make sure you adhere to these terms and conditions as disappointment will ensue if you don't.

Return Address

Please send your unwanted Darklands bases and dice to the following address:

Mierce Miniatures Ltd.
Mierce House
Carter Lane
Warsop Vale
Nottinghamshire
NG20 8XF
United Kingdom

Additionally, ensure you include a note in your package telling us your full name and the username of your account on the Mierce Miniatures webstore. That saves any delays in getting back to you and adding your Moneyback!

Interesting info posted over in the Official Mierce Forums:

Rick_Boer wrote:A short update on what else is going on as well...

Bob's currently cutting Ingjald and getting him ready for print, although he will probably slip into June now in terms of shipping. After that he's doing movement trays for us to print (we've got a quicker 3d printer for such things) and then Culcca and some other Jute things.

Rafael is doing a secret project (TM) which will be revealed next month for July's release. Rumours of something rat-based are entirely true. After that it's back on Atalantes / Ysian / Érainn / Vras / Albainn.

Yannick (who is still not dead) is finishing up the Ograx Reivers, then he's doing the Walvax Netters.

Valentin Zak is currently doing Beornhelm, the Sleanbera Thegn (you can see pictures of him on Facebook's Darklands / Mierce Miniatures group). After that he's doing variants of Brude (Slinger / Crossbow) and then four more Sleanbera (banner bearer / herald and then warrior versions of those).

Artists - Kurt Jakobi is doing the Midden Beetles, which should be done soon, and after those, the Nihtbats; Des Hanley is doing Karaadok (Reiver Beast-Master) and Cúax (war dogs) as well as something ratty. Carlos Amaral is doing a Tiamatus Secundus (work it out for yourself) which we're very excited about! Danny Cruz is doing something for the Anglecynn shortly.

Metals - we're running Kaarstans / Maaris / Reiver Hunters at the moment with the first casts going out this week. All things Sávrar are next, but we won't get those moulds until July. Doing metals ourselves is a huge relief, believe me...

A final word about releases and the state of things here at Mierce Towers.

As you may or may not know, we can't survive on Kickstarters from years past, that doesn't pay this month's wages in any way. We can't ignore them even if we wanted to (which we don't, I can assure you). So I've attempted to bring more new releases to help us tick over. That has led to a delay in kickstarter stuff; so I hit on the bright idea of combining the two, using new releases to drive kickstarter stuff that's been done and is ready to go. That's why we've done the Bestiarius + Hyaenas / Selkilias and Wulfas / Freawulfas; this will continue over the coming months. I'll keep the new things a secret for now, but here's my plans:

June: Vras (Black-Fang / Grey-Fur / Scab-Face + something new)

July: Atalantes (Athena + Kretos Beta + Sentinels + Haimon + something new)

August: Jutes (Grima on Manasceancan + something new)

September: Ysians (Hedroc, Annik, Hound-Aberrants + something new)

October: Anglecynn (Wildeswin, Rowena, Leofwen + something new)

November: Brythoniaid (Cogwyfern/Cocneidr + something new)

December: Infernii (not telling you)!

January: Jutes (Scethæn + something new)

February: Khthones (Gorgorar + Schyros + something new)

March: Byzantii (Auxilia + something new)

April: Fomoraic (Warriors of Baalor + something new)

Dates are when the deals are offered, with them being released the month after. Some things may change in terms of order - depends really.

There will be other things inbetween these - stuff that doesn't need printing, effectively, and maybe some special things here and there.

Darklands: Second Edition - coming later on this year now. I'm splitting it into three books; A5 Apprentice rules, A4 perfect bound Journeyman Rules, A4 Hardback Master Rules.

Savage Hordes - follows on from that, hoping to have it all done at the same time.

Now my fingers hurt!

Still no Mallax update though!

Spoiler:

interesting that he's doing 3 rules versions. I would hope one would be a lite skirmish game like Warcry (that would go over pretty awesome with their minis) then move up to something more akin to warmachine then move to full on mass battle but I have a feeling it's just a one sheet rules for the basic and then each version adding more but keeping the battle scale the same.

Sad to see nothing for Albian or Erainn in the list for the next year for these sales. Maybe I'll get the Vras stuff as the giant rats and rat swarms are useable for a lot of games but they're also something pretty generic that I can probably easily find STL files of and print myself.

Dear Lord, we're not getting the Warriors of Baalor until April 2021?! Isnt Formoraic one of their best selling factions? You'd think they and the reivers would get bumped up to the top of the line to help fund other molds.

"As you may or may not know, we can't survive on Kickstarters from years past, that doesn't pay this month's wages in any way. We can't ignore them even if we wanted to (which we don't, I can assure you)"

Of course you can't ignore the Kickstarters! Many people are probably in the same boat as me where Mierce has HUNDREDS of dollars of my money for YEARS with no models yet. What a ridiculous statement. Really makes me upset and question the business.

Yeah that is literally them saying that they've spent the KS funds but have not yet delivered the product. Even if they've spent it on product development or infrastructure or whatever, those funds were explicitly raised for the purposes of delivering specific products so that would not be an acceptable explanation.

Yeah, they make great rules, but their models still generally suck.
They have improved somewhat lately, especially for vanguard, but at the cost of no longer really being a cheap option, and they are still miles behind most competitors in design and production. Weird mold lines, weird plastic, bad monopose, terrible terrible weapons etc.

The Mierce manticore blows Mantic´s weird chimera out of the water for sure.
