I have been looking around for a while for a reason the all SoB have white hair. I haven't looked in their codex (which I was planning on picking up tommorow) yet. So yeah any answers would be appreciated.

Hold on, let me get back to Strongbad, Marx, Jack Black, Keith Moons, Muad'dib, Bruce Dickinson, Dr.Tran, Pete Townsends, The Vault Dweller, and the Muffin Man.

Only one army (forgot the name for it) seems to have it if I remember correctly. But, they're all orphans so I don't know why they have it. Maybe it was a painting decision to make them seem more like Space Marines.

I always wondered the same thing, but always assumed they had somekind of implant or something and a effect was white hair.

I thought it was a symbol or some such.

Forever alone

Probably something to symbolise purity, like the white robes that the Pope wears.

God, that's ironic.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

I think you've just managed to find a lot of white haired pictures. But it's just a fluke. They're regular (ish) women with a variety of hair colours and facial features.

They all have white hair for some reason. The other ones are normal like you said though.

A few reasons:

The artist / painter dont have the fashion sense to give them none white / black hair while keeping them pure looking.

White Hair have better contrast on a painting / drawing since their armor is black. For example if the hair is black in that pic , it wouldnt look as good.

Well I have seen the white hair in EVERY picture of the SoB I have seen. And I have seen at least 30.

Imo , the MAIN reason their hair is white is to represent their white coif:

Not all have white hair. But the order of our matryed lady does. Mabye they did it in honour of thier fallen sisters. (That's what they did to thier cloths, from white to red or sumfink)

Congratulations, your dismissive and conclusory commentary has provided nothing to this discussion or the wider community on whose behalf you arrogantly presume to speak nor does it engage in any meaningful way the remark it lamely targets. But you did manage to gain experience points toward your next level of internet tough guy.

Yes they do. Just some dye it black.

Personally I think all of them are bald and have plugs in their head, the hair is wigs.

I wouldn't be surprised if there's no deep and fluffy reason, or none that won't be contradicted by another source somewhere. It was probably just done as a "Hey, this will look cool!" thing. And it does look darn cool.

(( Anyone seen the anime/manga "Claymore"? Organisation of half-demon warrior chicks who all have pale blonde hair ... sure they added an in-universe reason, but I'll be the decision was made because it would look cool.)

it's probably to symbolize purity, or to add contrast to keep things from being boring. Just about everyone has come up with a few decent reasons.

IIRC, when the SoB were first released, the "official"Order of Our Martyred Lady scheme had them with black hair (and even for the other orders)... Maybe they found out that black armor/ black hair didn't turn out that nice ?

But I also remember something related to the slaughter at "Sanctuary 101" (or Monastery, or something like that), where a small SoB outpost was utterly wiped out by a Necron force: didn't the Sisters decide to repaint part of their armor (from black to white), and dye their hair as well??

Does anyone remember about this?

But maybe KidKyoto can help us, he seems to have some background intel we don't...

KidKyoto, could you give us some more information, and the source they come from?!?

In Codex: Sisters of Battle, every Sister has black hair (except for the cover illustration). In Codex: Witch Hunters, they all have white hair. Blame Games Workshop for being lazy gits. There is no fluff for it, nor is it a part of their uniform that different Orders have different coloured hair (seriously, stop smoking that!). It is a part of their fluff that they are transferred between orders at times, so having your hair determine your order would not make sense.
