Woot the squad is done, 95% complete. Just have to go back and clean up the rust and bases tommorow , this is what happens when trying to finish painting
when sun went down , color is off , and cant see properly!

Suggestions / comments very welcomed , anything is fixable before they are clear coated!

Nice work, as usual

Am I mistaken, or are there undrilled gun barrels lurking amongst that mob?

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

My only thought is that with black being the predominant colour, should the base sides maybe be a different colour? But that depends on how the rest of your army has been done. Otherwise, I like these a lot.

I agree that over all it looks really dark , but i dont really have a choice as my bases sides are all that color :x
and i chose to make the armor black , sort of like Black Orks are the strongest etc etc in warhammer Fantasy.

i tried to even it alittle by giving it large chunks of rhino debries i'll go finish painting them now ( sigh its dark and raining hope i can see enough )

Very nice, I like the use of the AT-43 model as a pain boy. I don't know how long they have been painted but have you had any issues with the softer plastic used for the AT-43 model?

way too much

What do you mean?
they are tough as plastic yet if enough pressure is applied that would normally snap GW plastic
it would just bend like resin and bounce right back?

I find it a perfect material o_o

and to make it even better, when it decides to break , it does NOT warp.
which means the 2 halfs will easily glue back together since the shape stayed the same.

Thanks guys for the compliment....

as of now after varnishing they are all ruined. Now they looked like i took white / gray primer and sprayed on them -_-

With units like 'Ard Boys, Nobs and MANs, Orks are the toughest, MANliest race in the grimdarkness of 40k, bar none.

To try and fix the varnish problem were you using a matt varnish?

If so, try gloss coating them and then re-matting them. Sometimes I have had this fix the whiting effect I get sometimes with matt.

There is like 4 layers of varnish atm on my deff kopta and doc (nobs are ok as of this morning)

It was like...

Gloss glass coating varnish -> testor dull coat *matt varnish yes ( 3 hours later ) RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! total ruin
later that night -> another application of testor coat --> mega nobs fixed , doc seems better , deff kopta EVEN WORSE ( looks like a car parked during winter )

Now im posting as the 4th coast of testor dull coat is applied on them -_-
