Hello Everyone,
I am new to these forums and wanted to show my latest work. I am new to painting miniatures, I used to paint model cars and trucks years ago but that was "years" ago! I started about a year ago with the assault on black reach kit, then on to an Ork Trukk and now to the latest addition, a rhino/razorback. Enjoy, comments are always welcomed, good or bad!!
Hello everyone.
I have been spending a TON of time doing this model. I have working LED's, magnetized parts, forgeworld doors and additions, scavenged parts of AOBR kit, etc.
I hope you like it, I think it is my best model to date.
Comments are welcomed! I have a short video showing the working lights on youtube here...

Looks great! The forgeworld stuff really makes it look ornate. And seeing how Razorbacks are a dying breed in the fluff, the extra decoration is certainly fitting. I like it

Amazing model. How did you do/paint the mud on the tracks?

Some critiques: The vehicle has too much going on. I'm of the opinion that less is more.
-The rear ramp would be great with either the fist or the striping.
-Too much mud for my liking
-LEDs are great
-Paint's better than I can do.

Hey Guys,
Thank you so much for your kind comments. Regarding a few comments.
-I have made this unit full of bling for a purpose, I didn't put any real battle damage on this rhino because my intent in game is to use this as Pedro Kantor's personal transport
-The photos are so UNFORGIVING! In real life it looks full of bling, but with my intent in mind, it is not too busy.
-The mud, all I did was mix regular white glue (for basing) with GW sand and I also broke up a piece of drywall and used the inner sand from the wall. Mix that with scorched brown and heap it on a bit at a time. Don't do too much in one go or you risk it being able to flake off. Once you have the correct texture to what you want, I drybrushed bestial brown, graveyard earth then kommando khaki. As I drybrushed from dark to light, I used less and less.
-The amount of mud is usually an individual preference. In real life, this model looks very cool.
Cheers all, you should see my Ork Trukk Maybe I will start another post with it's pics too.

Quality paint job , i like it alot.
But i have to agree with others about too much bling
(especially the banner near the back )
Here is the reason . Razorback looks cool because it has a distinct raised weapon towards the back . Having a 2nd object raised near it is very distracting .
What im trying to say is , imagine Brass Scorpion , and near its tail you stick a long tenticle next to it.

This is decent stuff, Catattafish! I recal stumbling upon your video of "How to Paint a Crimson Fist" on Youtube. That was nicely done too. I'm liking the lights BTW! The only feed-back that I'd have (and it isn't a huge issue) is the white stripes on the back ramp... Try using masking tape next time. On the whole, however, keep up the good work!

it is a nice painting in comparison of my Rhino, especially those highlighting on edges, and detailing from Forge World bits made a Razorback more delightful to the chapter. IMO, The uncomfortable thing is the dirt detail on the track and the hull parts next to it. it seems too many dirt stick onto the edge hull as an over-active war machine that across so many times on the battlefield in Fluff-wise view. Anyway, good job on painting and keep it up.

Loving it!
Loads of character on that thing, the FW stuff looks ace, and the muddin´is good too. All in all, I think you should be very proud of this vehicle.
Oh, and also, led lights. Niiice!

Here is the headlight covers I constructed out of window screen material. I have to touch up the paint once the glue dries. Comments?
