yeah,
What's new today? (For those that don't know, 'What's new today' is a new feature on the GW site that updates every day Monday to Friday.) I kinda like it... dispite the fact that half of it's posts could be 'What are we trying to sell today?'
I think the idea is that WNT want's to be the release valve of GW news and rumours.

Anyway's my question is does anyone know what time 'What's new today' gets posted?
I mean it's 15.30 here in the UK most of the day has been and gone! but there is no what's new for today yet?
I know i'm impatiant but i'm stuck at work and I want to find out what happens in part 2 of the spacehulk preview game.

Panic...

The amusing 'What's New Today' was when they talked about how good the following units were in Planetstrike:

Ironclad Dreadnoughts
Land Speeder Storms
Vulkan He'stan
Kahn

Really? All of this months latest releases are good in Planetstrike? Get outta town?

The internal voice I hear in my head when I read What's New Today is the same voice I hear in my head when I read GW's so called 'tacticas'... and also when I read BoLS Tacticas.

I hear a rumor that LatD weren't supported in the current Chaos book simply because of how bad they would be in planetstrike....

LATD-an army that everyone loved. Partially because of the interesting conversions everyone would create to play it. Heck, you didnt even NEED new models to come out to be able to enjoy the army.

Yea, GONE!....but HEY! Lookit these new Valkries!

And Planetstrike!

So wait, I thought GW said they wanted to get away from using a mish mash of codicies, WD articles, Internet FAQ's and extra books to play an army...

I am surprised that GW can generate a news item every week, let alone every day.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

Well, the Space Hulk news has been most interesting and the odd tour through the Studio searching for nice non-Studio models is also a fun thing to see. Only downer is a lack of high detail pictures.

I wish they would put the effort spent on making news' items into supporting FAQs and new SM codexes.

You know, all kidding aside, I like the new feature. It gives me a chance to see things going on around the studio, especially the articles on painting and conversions, and from their point of view, they gain me coming to the site every day. Sooner or later, I might just drink a lot (or my round 2 ard boyz certificate will come in), and I'll actually buy something while I'm on there!

Id really like to see more SM codexes honestly.

Not true. The Bastion kits can be combined to make bastions. With a bit of planning two or more bastions can be combined to make one bastion. Having a bastion in planetsrike is really good. Also by adding some bastion kits to the skyshield landing pad it is possible to create both Skylandbastionspeedershieldstormpads and Shieldbastionironbastionclads which are OMG AMAAAZING in Planetstrike!
