What's up with all the repeat threads everywhere? In the few months I've been here the has to have been at least three different threads asking "Which Chaos God would you serve?" sometimes things aren't even written right, and then there are the ever popular; "Who is the best Primarch?" threads of which there's been like three in the past three months.

Who knows, maybe I'm imagining it all and the time difference is greater than I think it is and I'm just going slowly mad sitting at my night shift job so time is starting to flow differently. But if that isn't the case and I'm not slipping that far into madness then surely other people have noticed as well. Does this not bug you? Are you just used to it? Do you just close your eyes and rock back and forth pretending that you didn't see it and that everything is getting better?

Please tell me I'm not the only one bothered by repeat threads.

You aren't the only one.

Sometimes I despair at the noobs who can't seem to use a search function, other times I take my meds and click the little 'x' in the tab and the pain goes away (until next time).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).

Oh good then.

Part of my wonders if this has been done before and I just failed hard when I used the search...

Jeez, that's a good question. I'm gonna go make a thread about it and tally everyone's opinions.

Awesome. I'll reply first with a load of misspelt words and accidentally duplicate my post 3 times! YEAH!

As always, if you spot a thread that is essentially a duplicate of a previous one, post a link to the older one (if you have a chance) and then hit the 'notify moderator' button to have us lock the new thread.

Of course that means people are going to drag up that old thread to post in it, but when we're talking about a thread like 'who's the best primarch' then it really isn't time sensitive and a bit of necromancy is fine.

Oh Yak, I'd like to point out this is more of a vent then a "Gah why don't the staff do their jobs." thread, I know you guys do your best and that we need to help.

I'm glad they set up 40k General Discussion, it sucks most of the inane threads to one place where I don't visit.

Now if they would only move all 4 of the SHulk threads there I would be happy.

It's Spulk not Shulk.

The Search function isn't that good but n00bs probably don't even try it before they post, such is their understandable enthusiasm for the site.

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

It's the anti-necromancy in action.

If you can't revive a thread that's fallen off the first page, they're just going to keep popping up again, and again, and again.

Perhaps the obvious repeats should just be made official and stickied?

Much of it is just people who have nothing to say or contribute, so they natter on incessantly about trivialities and nonesuch. To me it's all just post++.

I'm not saying all prolific posters have nothing to say, but there's a lot of repetition out there. When I read a thread that has a response that aligns with my viewpoints, I simply don't post. I wish more posters would do that instead of saying the same thing in different words.

Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k.                                                                                                       Rule #1

I agree with Gw....Iorek.

And the search function on this otherwise wondrous site isn't so hot y'know. I find using google to find things inside dakka easier than using the dakka search.

I've found Dakka to be a bit gung ho about it's antinecromancer policy. Perhaps most of the mod team are devotees of Pelor
