It wasn't a curse or anything! It's from the Dos Equis Beer commercial. The most interesting man in the world. I meant it like "keep on doing what you like to do". Or stay thirsty and keep drinking beer. At least that is how I meant it.

Anyway, I got a bit of work done on my Plague Lord's Bike.

And some scale shots next to a normal Chaos Bike.

It still needs lots of work, some icons, and rusted areas and Nurgly bits....but this is all I had time to do the last few days, and I only got this much done because I could do a little at a time, and come back to it later.

I tried to get some sculpting done, but family demanded a larger than normal chunk of my time. The youngest is teething, so if you've had or have young kids, I don't need to say any more!

I do have some stuff on the Heresy Investigator to show, but it needs a little more attention first. Hopefully later in the week. *Fingers Crossed*

Thanks for stopping by,
Keep doing what you like to do! (Paraphrased from my last sign-off! )

Well, it is supposed to be a Daemon Weapon. I was thinking a broken and rusted sword, but a Cricket Bat will work!

I have a progress update on the Gatling Gun.

Still needs lots of rivets, but the general shape is done I think.

Let me know what you think!

Thanks! The wheel is from an old Tonka toy. I thought it gave a "Lordly" look to the bike. There is a fine line I am walking between Chaosy and Orky....I think if I add some more Chaos stuff it will work.

I don't really see followers of Nurgle as having a full head of hair....if any hair, I think it would be in patches, and kind of mangey...

Thanks Storag! I had seen similar "swords" in another thread, and I liked it, so I thought I would try it out. Maybe it will look more like a sword when painted. Or I may paint it up like a bat, who knows!

pretty awsome work on the gattling gun jake tough the handles throws me a bit off looking a bit dinky in tought and how you placed the front handle on the gun since yeah i bet most of us could convert a hand to fit in position but wouldent it be better to make it more able to fit on a normal marines arm and when i ment dinky on the handles is that it basicly look like it will break from the waight like take an exempal like the tf2 brass beast

much more supported and some rails in the front to support it more tough this is just an opinion from me since i bet i would buy it anyway

i am just the wrong wargamer in the wrong place at the wrong time as allways so blame creed

That's good, since I am making this for you!

I haven't sent this off for printing yet, so there is time for re-working it. I like the images you posted. I will have to beef it up some. Do you prefer the top-loading style or the side-loading style?

I haven't been able to get much done on the MLP past making an armature. It's going much slower than I thought it would sorry about that. Now with getting ready to move, I am working out of a tool box, and I don't have as much space to work on as I did. I will keep working however, and I will get done with all of my commissions at some point.

The new job promises to keep me very busy with lots of overtime, but my family will still not be with me for a month or so, so I should get more sculpting in than I do right now.

I am heading over to the Seattle area this next Monday, so I may not be on here for a while at that point, so if I don't respond to a comment, give me a few days.

Until later,

RSJake

side prefered seeing as i have allways found it silly how the ammo must be lying in the drum and dont worry you did warn me it would take some time and you wouldent possibly have it done before gamesday so il just have to terrorise my friends with my orks even have some on this dev page if you are tempted to see http://commisar-erdno.deviantart.com/

Nice! I like your black skull merc too!

I have a bunch of Orks I want to put together. I faced some boyz and some biker Nobz the other weekend. I was impressed twice. First at how fast the boyz fell to my chaos, second how tough the biker Nobz were! I never did kill any of the Nobz. And I put many wounds on them!

Anyway, I am working on the Gatling gun right now. I have made the barrels longer, and curved the front support. I will work on making the handles beefier!

Nice. I like the Dakka myself.

I think on the Gat, I am going to have the handles a separate piece, that can just be attached to the top of the gun. That way, it can be used on vehicles too if needed. Also it will be easier to cast.

Should have a picture to view in the next hour or so....if I don't get called away to actually "do" something at work! My second to last day by the way!

ueeee^^ nie update jake...

the bike sure looks way beefier than that puny standard template one... the only nitpick i have with that mdel so far is the "fork of the fron wheel... there needs to be something done with the axle and the er... thingy that holds the wheel... other than that it is a cool bike... big and nasty looking... just as ordered^^

as for the teething... no joking here... we finally cooled the gum of my firstborn with vanilla ice... on a spoon... this killed two birds in one go... he wasn´t yelling anymore... as he was yumming the ice^^ and also we thus teached him to like to eat from a spoon... a feat we weren´t able to really teach/show him before...my kids always needs careful persuasion when it came to good things for them not the trusty sort it seems^^

by the way... the gatling looks very promising... but the final word will be after the riveting^^

Thanks Vik. Great idea with the ice cream! I'll try it!

The bike will have all sorts of add ons before it's done. I even want to make a cloak of GS streaming out behind him. The hub on the front forks will get done, I am thinking of some nice large blades along with Nurgly puss and stuff there.

Oh, and here is the current state of the Gatling Gun. Still no new handles, but I have a beefier motor and an ammo drum.

Still work to do, just a WIP.

See? That's why feedback is so important!

Ok, just about done, but I can't work on it any more today.

I have the handles on it. The front handle is thinner at the pivot point, so if you need to, you can cut it, and rotate it.

To be honest, I have no idea how big this thing will be. I won't know the actual scale until I have it in my hands.

I am trying to make it as big as possible, as it is meant to be for marines.

All I know about the scale is that it is 57mm front front to back.

I would love to have a scale wireframe model to show with these things, but I'm sure it would cost me an arm and a leg. And I don't think I could make one myself...I'm not that advanced yet.

Hahaha! Maybe. If I get some more experience with Blender.

Just having existing models 3d scanned would be easier though.

But expensive.

I think I have finished the Gatling Gun. I will go over it again, see if there is anything I need to touch up, and post it here in a while.

In 10-20 years we'll probably have Star Trek Replicator tech, that would be extremely useful for minis
