Luna, it seems everyone is getting hit with bad lighting at the moment -_-
My libby ive just finished loses all the blending lol.

but the tank busta looks great none the less.
Liking the way you have worked blue into the model in more than one area aswell, tends to break up the colours nicely.

Very nicely done Luna,I particularly like the way you've done the skin on the second mini, very well done.

The paintjob on these are fantastic. Technique wise they're really good.

But what I really like in the second ork, that isn't present in the first ork, and I think it should be on the first ork, is the skin tone.

But ork skin tone is usually upto the player's preference.

I would just go with a more saturated green skin tone.

On an extra note; I hate all the models for tankbustas released by GW so far. I think they're the ugliest, leather wearing, junk hauling rokkit obsessed maniacs... but not very orky lol.

The only skin exposed is his head and tiny bit of shoulder.

I think the rest are some sort of stretchy latex. ( should i have made it completely different color so people dont think its skin ><? )

Hmm the more i look at it the more im confused as well...

The stretched out arm doesnt have a sleave like the other arm , yet it has holes and metal plate attached to it.
BUT the finger nails are also visible... confusion!!!!

Conclusion... its either:

The sleeve is not detached like the other tank busta
or
He has holes in his arms and staples metal plates on his skin o_o.....

Wow... it does look confusing now that both of you have the diff views... I kinda like that latex-y type look though... I can deffinitely see how you got that idea though... I would say keep it as is

The sleeves are one of the things I don't like about those models lol. It's like.. emo orks lol.

With the second ork, his left arm is bare right? I like that skin tone. That's what I was trying to say before

They are both sleeves ( atleast i painted them that way ) The exposed shoulder + the head is the only green that is their skin.

Im considering going to but some paint on gloss varnish to make them look more latexy. ( i assume thats what they are ,
some fire retardant latex sleeves like the pyro in Team Fortress 2 wears )

Wow your skin tones are amazing!
Your highlighting across the whole model is impeccable.

Had you used lots of washes on the second Ork, with the dark skin?

How long per model did it take?

Also as im kinda a newbie with the current Ork models, did you convert any of these?

This has made me want to go and get some Orks...

Of course, as an American, that means I must say that soccer sucks, and football (real football... you know, the one where you do everything with your hands) is 10,000 times as good. I mean, football players could probably beat up soccer players, even, because they actually know sports.

Same here...I'm beginning to rethink buying those metal tankbustas lol, I didn't like the picture on the box, and now they seem confusing to paint.

Still, I believe your doing a boss job, the shading is awesome and the rokkits are well painted!

Yes the metal ones are very expensive especially if you dont like how they look .
Since we get lots of stick bombs and bomb back packs / rokkits from plastic storm boys / nobs / boys kit,
you can build lots like that!

Plastic can be good and cheap way to go! ( infact im using the left over bits to make some more hehe )

Neat!

Hmmm, I'm going to have to turn some of these kombi rokits into kombi-rokitpistols However, I am not looking foreward to building tankhammers :(

You are such an attention whore lol
People comment on your stuff all the time and you always say "oh no one comments ho hum"
The second loooks better then the first. I agree like everyone else seems to be... they do seem a tad confusing to paint. Of well, sleeves, not sleeves.... looks pretty damn good to me

Incredibly severe mould lines, also this is just a picture of two orks stuck together, this is not a significant post to generate comments.

Well I love the tank busta twins. Are these final? - As I usually find it easier to clean the mould lines before putting my orks together.

I have a lot of fun mix and matching left over (and not so left over) bits - but continually hit the dilemma of representation. For example - my first thoughts here - the first boy is holding a stikkbomb and has tankbusta bombz - but where is his rokkit launcha or tank hammer? The second boy reminds me of the old stikkbombaz - he looks like a slugga boy with stikkbombz rather than a tankbusta (no rokkit, no tank hammer, no tankbusta bombz) Of course, I realise such "hard and fast" rules concerning orks is a bit, well, unorky - who's to say those stikkbombz aren't tankbusta bombz in disguise? Those sneaky gitz!

Still - I think I would be inclined to try to add a rokkit laucha to both - even if it is just a tube slung over or hitched to their backs. For the second guy, how about a grenade launcha looking device, perhaps with a "stikkbomb" on the end as the "rokkit"?

Ok - feel free to ignore all of the above - if nothing else I now have too many ideas for my own tankbustas (when I finally get to them)

I love this idea, and I'm stealing it so hard (Or maybe I could somehow use an imperial guard grenade launcher on an ork)

Edit: but yeah, those boyz have no rokkits, I know there are limits to what you can do with WYSIWYG, especially with bitz, but simple things count.

I know , the purpose of it was to show starbomber109 , of the bits available to kit bash plastic without the need to purchase
the metal tank bustas ( expensive $$$ , and especially if he dont really care for the sculpts )
