Just wondering how many potential Races/Forces there are in the 40k Universe that have either been represented in an army or purely in the Fluff. I apologise in advance if there has already been threads like this recently. To get things rolling I’ll mention a few: - Genestaler Cult Armies Eldar Exodites The Jokeroo

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made. |

I really liked the Unofficial Harlequin codex, especially the Solitaire.
Sollitaire w/Harlequins kiss, pistol and powerblades
(Harle kiss wounded on 2+, and on a wound roll of 6 caused insta-kill)
(powerblades add extra attack and make all attacks power weapon attacks)
Solitaire gained 6 extra attacks if he *only* charged 6", so that's 12 attacks on a charge, hitting on 3's, wounding on 2's, power weapon... good times...

Harlequins used to be realy realy wrong. Did they not used to get a cover save no matter what? Or is my memory going.
As for another race how about Zenos Hunters.

4+ cover vs all shooting that wasn't a template (flamer/blast). No save in CC though :-/ But with Dark Eldar quality initiative, wasn't really a factor. Plus the holosuit that made you halve your weapon skill. And WS 2(4) vs WS 5 means you only hit on 5s.

Movie Marines, seeding swarms, feral orks, gaunt's ghosts (the army list!) Kroot mercinaries, cursed foundings and the good ol' days when tyrranids didn't exist but genestealers did.
Does the psycic powers phase count? Did you know that 40K has trump suits? And it changes every turn!
And I resent the remark about Xenos Hunters, I play that army >=/

Really? Why don't I remember them?
I'm gonna have to check my book when I get home. I remember Zoats being in there, but for some reason, I can't remember 'Nids.

Cheese Elemental and Dark Lord have bravely martyred themselves so my work can continue, The Home for Itinerant Stunties thanks you and erects a commemorative bench in your honour.
Ignoring my beloved (and often hilariously outclassed stunties) the best race/force bar the Hrud, jokaero (super advanced space orangutans) and the like must be "The Sensei".
This is one for truly old school players and is making me feel older as I type. Think space ninja-jedi's of all races (Alright maybe not all but..) fighting for equality against ALL (yes, including the emperor and his magic lazy-boy) who do injustice.
just to finish:
Rippy-Fish
Bouncers
Sand-Clams
Astral Hounds
Space Marine Field Police

May not be correct but I like your optimism. Page 200 of RT is all about Tyranids and Hive Fleets. They used a 50% force of slaved zoats. They were rubbish looking and the zoats were better.
I have to go now; a number of black rhino's have just pulled up outside........

Oh yeah. I remember the rules for creating Sensei warbands from "Lost and the Damned". They were sort of a anti-Chaos chaos warband that used the same amazingly random generation system! I actually got to run a game against one of those things way back in the day.
Fun stuff.

Dawwww... I coulden't find them in the compendium and just assumed they didn't exist. Ive never actually seen the RT book, just own the compelation with all the army lists in it.
Oh, and I suppose that 1st edition space hulk didn't have them either. Then again, it woulden't.
