Nice list there Necros.

I would have to say the ultimate triumvirate of Heavy Metal as the best:
Iron Maiden
Judas Priest
Black Sabbath

Three of the most Influential bands in heavy metal.

You have taken some of my least favourite bands and put them in a list. Congrats .

My favourites at the moment include Arch Enemy, Devildriver, Amon Amarth, Be'Lakor (No joke, that's their name), Iced Earth and Iron Maiden

Oh man how can you stand that trash. Seriously its like a headache burned to a disc.

Mine is hard.
Opeth is always way up there. My god that band is just magical.
Anything Maynard James Keenen touches is great.
Andy Mckee/Don Ross. They are equal
Then there are a few techno/electronica groups I really like but they just fluctuate too much.

On that note, thanks to you Brits for giving us FLUKE.

I'll go with THE WHO. Even when they're old and half of 'em dead they can still rock out harder than bands a fraction of their age.

The 9/11 concert in NYC was a particularly epic performance - no other band (and plenty of big names were there) or music artist got the crowd on their feet and excited as these bloody brits did.

RIP Ox and Keith Moon.

I don't have a "best band ever" as i feel quite a few share that title... this is my top 5 though (ironic in that the 3 bands I feel share honor of BBitW to me aren't in this list).

Otep
Children of Bodom
Pantera
Metallica
Cradle of Filth
