I want one to hunt for gun powder and stuff, hence the under ground bit.

Guys we need a platforming arena now, also a watersports arena, minecart demolition derby*, maze, shotput, archery range, tnt bowling, creeper rodeo etc etc etc.

I agree I think we have enough now. All we'd really need is to have the mob one made out of obsidian to counter the creepers, or just make the entire floor water and we're all good.


*Don't actually ever do this one, boosters will lag the server way too much. A shame really because they're fun when you get them going, but useless unless you get zombies or skeletons in it somehow.

Ive made a rail track running from near the boat in dakka town straight to my mob farm, it churns out huge amounts of loot per hour and the mob loot chest beside it usually has a lot of free for all items, all you need to do is drop a cart onto the track, push it toward a booster rail and jump in

I need to figure out how to make a mob farm, any suggestions on learning how?

Youtube, has a surprising amount of decent tutorials for Minecraft. Problem is there are also some pretty bad and horrible ones.

I'm afraid I won't be much help, all my main mob traps use minecarts and boosters and they're no good for multiplayer.

Though I do have a small lava guillotine next to my house so that might help a little...

Just really need a spawn point, and something to bring them to whatever will kill them and then bring the drops safely to you.

The valley below my house is always crawling with mobs, just need to know how your supposed to lure then in and collect the loot!

If they're swarming they'll swarm over it. Sounds like you need a trap around your house more than a mob farm. I just put some cacti around the house and lure them in with a bow though.

I know light can be used to lure in the passive mobs (giant pit + lots of torches = lots of feathers, pork and leather), but not sure what lures in the enemy. Google is mostly telling me that a player is bait basically.

it's fun, and actually makes it a game, of course. Once you are dead, you can't participate, but you an still go on the server.

that sounds more like the TV show gladiator one...

but without the crystal dome.
Just a cobble dome with a dungeon inside.

yeah, there is the same design building on I-4 in Orlando, its never going to be finished and is just huge glass eyesore.

When the sun hits it the reflection is concentrated onto I-4 like a friggen laser.

Also be aware that only people with access to the multiplayer server can make multiplayer maps (so you could only do it for your own personal worlds on your computer).

Ack, not as immune to item loss as I thought :(

Lost 2 stacks clay, 50 something roses, double that of flowers, some red mushrooms, and my entire red wool cabin floor. Not good.

Next time ya catch lego on ask him to replace some of it, perhaps he will. SMP is just kinda buggy like that.

Im going to go on another trek to find more, maybe they will have reset back to where I found them in the first place

Sadly blocks rarely ever get set back just inventory and location.

I am ideed. Same as ifalna's, just inside my giant creeper, going to one of the feet.
