So here is my Theory... Each month GW has a Major Release and a Minor Release.. And with that they follow a pattern of 40k, warhammer, then special (was LoTRs but it starting to die down)
Here is how I see it..
September - Major = Space Hulk(special) / Minor = (dont have my magazines with me - LoTR i think)
October - Major = Space Wolfs / Minor = (Again dont have magazine with me)
November - Major = Skaven / Minor = Unknown
December - Major = Unknown (Special) / Minor = Dark Angels Tower
January - Major = Tyranids / Minor = Legions of Death
Feburary - Major = Fantasy Army/ Minor = Unknown
March - Major = (Special) We can hope its APOC with a plastic Thunderhawk
April - Major = Blood Angels?? I think it is too soon for another marine book
If this falls out right we will see four 40k codexs this year, does this mean we will see Chaos Dwarfs and Dark Eldar both return in 2010..

Interesting.

And theres me thinking GW Chaos Theory is:-

Something + spikz + skullz = sales?

Thinking about it thats more of a formula for annoying customers with lame rehashes so we'll stick with yours for now!

Lemme tell you about GW's pattern: 2 Codices a year.

Well, GW produces two or three codices and army books per year.
So in 2009: IG, Planet Strike, SW.
In 2010 (predicted): Nids, Blood Angels, Tau.

No, its just a rumor.
However, GW released very quickly a 4th ed Tau codex and so I think they will do it again for the 5th ed.

GW can't do anything consistently, so if you think you've identified a pattern, don't expect it to last for more than two months.

why are you counting on both MARCH AND APRIL to be 40k months. next year is fantasy year so i dont see anything but possibly tyranids and something else but i wouldn't count on it, and theres especially no point hoping for an APOCALYPSE month, 2011 maybe but not 2010.

also, GW WILL NEVER RELEASE 4 40K CODEXS IN 1 YEAR, EVER ESPECIALLY WHEN SAID YEAR IS FANTASY YEAR.

We've been looking at reliable news sources, not speaking to these "lots of people", I guess thats where our problem lies.
However, my Cousins best friends uncle works at GW, and he assures me this is the year of the Pan Fo.

Armies Owned: Iron Warriors, Tau

Drake_Marcus: It's true- that's why the Space Wolves love termie armour so much. The whole "bear" thing they've got going on is just a thinly veiled cover-up of their huge, hairy cleavage.

GW changes horses mid-race whilst changing horses mid-race. Even if the established pattern is true, it's only true right now. It will change again, lurching from concept to idea like a rotting zombie, with no rhyme or reason behind it, sometimes to the detriment of their bottom line.

It never makes sense. It never will. Look at my sig and just replace the word 'balance' with 'consistency'.

With most of you saying... I have to think back...you guys are right... GW has changed so many directions for no reason and impossible to tell what they will do next..
Maybe the Pattern I see is my wish they would keep with something and give us some hope of what to come...Not waiting till two weeks before the release date like Space Hulk to let us know it was coming.. (We all knew due to rumors, but still wasnt official)
Also with the change of direction, made me think of the days of EPIC, the orginal game was great and they turned around and made 40k EPIC, killing everything about what people liked about it.. Everyone I knew at the time left the game.. Years later they addressed the rules with the current edition but I have no plans to return..

That's not right.

GW does 2 or 3 Codices per year, with "wave" releases to fill the schedule.

There are 2 or 3 Fantasy releases, also with "wave" releases.

There is at least one major Rules release per year (2009 = SHulk, 2010 = WFB), usually spread over 2 months.

And there are a couple LotR releases each year.

So that's:
3 40k
3 Fantasy
3 Rules
3 LotR
= 12 months of headlines

Sure, some years may trade by +/-1, but that's roughly what I see.

On the uk page earlier the title (in the blue bar) was about the dark angel fortress and "Legions of the Eye" interesting to see what that one comes out as since nothings been mentioned from them about traitor legions for a while.

"Legions of the Eye" is a Lord of the Rings thing. Nothing to do with fixing the Chaos Codex.

I was hoping GW were on the right course with the Guard and SW codex released this year, but with Nids and Tau on the Horizan, both 4th edition codexs and then apparently Blood Angels!

The last thing 40K needs is more SM codexs.

Tau were released in 2006 yes? Why would they be getting a new 'dex?

Blood Angels, Tyranids and DE/'Crons/=I= I thought were the ones people were expecting.

Because the Tau codex we got was crap? And was made obsolete after only a couple years?

In that case then Blood Angels don't need to be getting a new 'dex either, since their White Dwarf codex came out after Tau, and was even "updated" for 5th edition. Right?

Not only that but you're off by about a year, the copyright in my Tau codex says 2005...

Yeah, realised that after I got the email about their releases this morning. Don't follow LotR at all as the Middle Earth setting stuff never appealed to me, surprised GW is still making money from it tbh.
