So, just wondering, does Games Workshop's Purity Seal actually do anything of note?
I have some, and other than the paint 'sticking' slightly better I havent noticed a major difference?
Cheers, Dave.

It also takes away $7 extra out of your wallet compared to a $2 can from walmart.

Sorry Dave, I'm not sure I understand. Are you using it as an undercoat?
I thought it was to seal in your paint job once you'd finished so that it doesn't chip/flake off as much when you're playing.
Sorry if I got the wrong end of the stick.

I tried using it on some of my Warbeasts for Hordes to stop the chipping that was driving me insane, but it didn't really help much.
I also used it on my resin squiggoth to coat the resin after I had washed it, to help the undercoat stick to it better.

yeah,
It's to seal the paint in and protect it.
The small text on the front says test before spraying.
If the conditions are not right or you have a bad can, it can leave the model covered in a nasty white dust.
So be careful when you use it as I've recently had a nasty experiance ruin the paint job squads of grots i'd just painted.
Panic...

Agreed, except it's $5 when compared to their Purity seal that goes for $14.99 here, in comparison to the Armoury Matte Spray I use goes for 9.99
or a can of Minwax PolyShade stuff for Tyranids. Washing and sealing in one go, saves soooooo much time.

The whole white dust thing makes me too paranoid to use that stuff on anything I've painted.

I'm getting the impression I got the wrong end of the ol' wooden pokey thing, the can said to apply for the undercoat...
