Only 8 days to go! anyone else looking forward to slaughtering a whole new range of infected? I have played the demo and although very short it's very well put together. I can only hope they will nurf the "spitter" for Versus, considering the range on that chick is insane!, it does seem like a fantastic way to stop people closeting. I added the patch for playing the infected on the demo and playing the Jockey if lots of fun! The charger (if you can get the hit) if fantastic for scattering the servivors but he does tend to drop fast. The bullet proof and fire proof zombies make for intresting distractions while setting up an ambush. the "daytime Witch" is drastic! crowning that lady while shes already standing is difficult! and if your really unlucky she'll be wandering around in the middle of a horde and get clipped without knowing shes there. The interactive music it's fun, although in a real game (not just running round clicking things to see what is possible) i can't imagin anyone bothering to select songs on the jukebox. The song by the zombies if fab! "all we want to do is eat your brains! were not unreasnable I mean were not going to eat your eyes!" lol, made me laugh.
All in all there are a few things i would have done differently, Like the defib "being able to bring a servivor back from the dead". Thats all well and good, saves waiting for them to spawn, But if you had been shocked back to life you would think you'd have little to no health, Honestly i'd have thought you'd come back on black & white. But half health seems a bit to generouse to me.

I have to say that judging from the demo, I will not be getting the actual game.

Everything seemed like it was moving about x1.5 speed, if not more. The guns just didn't feel right either.

I prefer the first game more, I would say, from my limited exposure of both (ie just playing the demo for each game).

I would buy the first game, but I have got a long list of "stuff I want" and "stuff I need that I have to spend my money on first", and it has not yet got to a point where I can get it

I play L4D1 alot, normaly just "pub bashing" now that i have every achivment on it. L4D2 will be the same thing, going for gold! Trying to get good enough to play on reality mode.
I play expert or V. Reality will be a nice new challange.

I lliked the demo, and some of the new weapons, although I'm worried about the possibility that the new special infected may make the older ones obsolete.

I was iffy at first but looking overit its L4D in a completely new style which is great as far as I am concerend

It's one I will definatly be getting, nothing liek a good hard game to run around in bashing zombies over the head with guiatrs

How do you get to play as infected on demo?

I love it, but the computer controlled surivors are too good.

The jockey is difficult to pull off because he can't leap like the hunter. Just looking at the demo, there seem to be less 'sheer drops', probably purely because of the Jockey. He could pretty much instant-incap/kill people if the was... the jockey is still my favourite new concept. The spitter is certainly a rough one if you get the survivors in a corner, but so was the Boomer and Tank. The tank seems to be a bit easier to kill... The charger looks fun, and not too overpowered since he has to charge in a straight line.

The assault rifle with the 60 round clip is a relief.

My main complaint is that this really could have just been an expansion for L4D... not that much has changed. The skins are a bit nicer, especially the damage skins, but it's not all that 'new'. The weapons and new zombies/characters could have been modded into the original easily.

Meh. It's OK. Might pick it up for my 360. I really don't like the look of the Spitter and the Jockey is kind of cartoony, but I'm glad that the old Infected are still there and the rest of the new content is good. We got it uncensored too! Good old Valve!

I want the old survivors back though. It's so much easier to empathise with them because they're actually normal people you'd see around. The new ones just seem... I dunno, out-of-place.

They aren't too out of place if you're actually from the area the game takes place in, though the Nick is probably representative of a stereotype that doesn't really exist anymore unless you count the State Legislature in Baton Rouge (ZING!)

Maybe I'm just too used to the old ones. They just seem much better IMO. Bill was perfect for the setting.

It's hard for me to justify getting the game with the rage I have towards Valve for reneging on providing the promised DLC for the original, shortly after it launched. (I understand it's a business first, but it's a matter of principle that an entity keeps their word imo). I did get the demo and played it a little, but all of the weapons felt and looked too thick and cartoony, like they belonged in TF2.

Had fun with the demo. There's a bit more variation; I don't mind that it's similar to the previous game, the new content was quite good in the demo so if the full game is up to scratch then its worth it for me.

I have it now. Well, had it this morning. Took Steam a full f**king hour to actually "Detect Steam Updates" in which time I couldn't do anything else with my computer. And now I can't play it because I can't get 30seconds into a game without CTD. And they don't have a solution and it's affecting lots of people. There goes my evening of zombie killing fun.

Getting sick of buying broken games. Dragon Rising was the same last month.

Got it and played it for a few hours. It's still fun, but it's really just the same game with a bunch of neat stuff tacked on.

I do like the tanks new found resistance to fire, makes it a bastard to kill.

I've completely uninstalled the game and downloaded it again (wasn't happy) and I've now got it to only crash at random intervals now instead of every 30seconds. I think that's progress.

The Australian retail version sucks.

That is all.

Thinking of getting it. But maybe not. Zombies are getting old.
