Hope, the first step on the road to dissapointment
And the Chaos version, the one I prefer, is an early alpha version of the game before Relic came along and took over. So they've put in Orks and so far as we know it's only Orks. I want my Chaos Marines and Traitor Guard with their l33t flying skillz!!!
Armies:
(CSM/HH) - Iron Warriors; Death Guard; World Eaters; Night Lords
IG - Vestfalian Expeditionary
Force (Solar Auxilia - HH)
SM - Blades of Inaros (Homebrew)
DE - Kabal of Ouroboros
There have been multiple enemies in 40k video games before. Dawn of War had all four races pitching in.
People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.
From what we are told it will be Marines only. I'm hoping competitive multiplayer will allow additional races. All that we know is that you can play as different types of Marines i.e. Tactical, Assault, Devastator, etc.

Here's the very first gameplay from months ago, even before the first trailer:

No, that's the very first pre-alpha footage of Space Marine by Relic.

hmmm, I have to disagree. When I found the alpha footage waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in October 2008 it was on a Polish website and it mentioned the name of the developer and it was not relic. I cannot remember the name at the moment but that's due to my head being full of nothing but pure dookie. Relic had nothing to do with the original video iirc.

Incorrect, well, mostly. It is pre-alpha footage but not of the Relic game. Game was scrapped and then rebuilt by Relic using some of the stuff the original company did. Moved from a hack and slash to a squad based action rpgIIRC.
My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings. Look on My works, Ye Mighty, and despair.

This conversation has even begun to boggle my internet-hardened mind.
