im trying to create a mech ork list. I was reading some posts and my main difficult is to find the equilibrium in the army.
As Dashofpepper said i find excellent the use of Ghazz. the 27 inches in movement is awesome.

I really dont know if i try too use 2 trukks and 1 BW or 3 Battlewagons.

I want ro use Kommandos with snikrot, but i really, really need help in find some equilibrium, because i used to play footsloggin without the Kans...only boyz and a Big mek and a warboss. Obvious i lost all my two games, As you can see im extremelly new in the game, and ork was my first and oly army. Im tired, not only, to losing but as my army was some stupid army i dont have any fun in my earlier games.

Honestly, Dash really has written A LOT lately and to continue to rehash it is a bit of a pain. Do the research and read what he's written. It's good stuff.

My concern, actually, is that you want to dump a massive army and go a different direction because you lost the two games you played. I've played people who never won a game. They still had fun.

You've already got a great start to a gun line, and I think I would start there. If you want to go mech, you're going to find that those 90 shootas really aren't the right fit for the army. Orks don't have the vehicles to really duke it out in a pure mech/gunline.

Pick up some kans (or better yet, scratch build 'em) and get yourself a fully loaded battle wagon to put the looters and the mech in. The warboss on a bike does you no good if everyone else is hanging back, ready to pound your opponent.

There was a post on here about an Ork gunline that looked amazing. I'll see if I can find it for you.. I can't. The amount of firepower you can get with orks is amazing. And you're already right there.


Of course, if you really want mech, I would say:

Haven't done points, so won't give numbers, but that gives you an idea. Game plan is nice and easy... Charge across the board and kill. Bikes take care of themselves. Keep the trukks within 6 inches of the BW and Big Mek. Keep the Burnas in the BW to template spam everyone they can.

IF you want mobile firebase, keep the lootas in a BW and put 20 boy shoota units in BW. I really can't see it working as well, just because you loose so many boyz.. but it might be a fun army to play...

What do you mean I'm not in a helpful mood? After having just spent HOURS writing extensive critiques of mechanized ork lists, a new thread shows up asking for advice on a mechanized ork list. It wouldn't make sense to do anything BUT either copy/paste or link them.

well, I guess you COULD have copied and pasted the entire novels you were writting... It's not like it's really all that easy to click those links.. I mean.. why should we have to change pages just to see your wisdom? That seems like an awful lot of work... {/sarcasm}

Actually the biggest problem I'm having at the moment was I really wanted to post my updated list, but I'm worried that I'm not going to get any real comments just because the 40k list has gotten so much ork lately...

Your posts sometimes seem like your hassled or irritated that someone else has asked for help and they should check out existing lists.

I comment in ork lists as much as you, and I know we both keep the saying the same things over and over. But it seems more friendly by giving help direct, instead of saying "oh for heavens sake here is another - stop posting and just read this"

If you write a guide at someone's request, and an hour later someone asks you to write them a guide for the same thing.....do you re-write the same guide, or give them the one you already wrote?
