In a:
Battle Wagon (1x Big Shoota, Red Paint Job, Boarding Plank, Deff Rolla)
19 Shoota Boyz & 1 PK Nob (1 Big Shoota & 1 Rokkit Launcha) all with stikk bombs
in a:
Battle Wagon (1x Big Shoota, Red Paint Job, Boarding Plank, Reinforced Ram)
11 Slugga Boyz & PK Nob (1 rokkit launcher) all with stikk bombs
in a:
Trukk (red paint job, boarding plank, reinforced ram)
14 Kommandos (2 burnas)& Snikrot
comes out to 1505 points
This is my first attempt at making an Ork list, and I probably really need a KFF Mek in here somewhere, just not sure where to cut the points. The current plan is to screen the trukk with the battle wagons.

That's a pretty solid list for your first try! one thing though, dump the big shoota in the shoota boyz mob for another Rokkit launcha, you've got enough dakka.

K, Shoota boyz should be footslogging IMO. They should be in large mobs of 20+ and advance, no kan wall bs needed.
In my horde list, I take 3 squads of 20 shoota boyz w/ x2 big shootas, nob w/ PK & Bosspole. Get rokkit-koptas or rokkit-buggies for vehicles & such, and clean up w/ PK's. Snikrot will help aswell.
And, btw, why the hell do you have Ghaz if you want transports? The feth is fleet going to do if they are in a vehicle. Just get a regular 'boss w/ Pk, combi-scorcha/T.L Shoota.
'Course, you could just be boring and go the kan wall w/ KFF mek(s)

Good list, but stick rokkits in all units, not a big shoota and a rokkit. Gives you some slight ranged anti tank then.
Rest looks ok, but beware ghazgkull moves 3D6 (I.C have move through cover special rule) so the entire unit will move at this rate.

I'm not to sure how Kan Wall is boring. To each his own i guess but its a great set up and fun as hell to play. In my 1500 Point list im running 2 KFFS, 90 Slugga boyz, 9 Kans, and 2 Deff Dreads. Its awesome as hell to see that many walkers on the field. Nothings more exciting then having an awesome look to your army once its fully painted with all those walkers.
Aside from that. The list looks pretty awesome. I would switch out the shoota boyz for sluggas. Thats just personal pref. Also, Ghaz doesnt really belong if everything is in transports. You could drop him and add a few more Nobz and throw in a KFF Mech so you get 4+ on all your transports. Just a thought.
As far as kommandos go, ive never run them so i cant say much.

with ghazz in the list you can move up to 40" in 2 turns where as not having him and staying in the vehicles only makes you move 13" a turn

Good list, but play to your strengths: The boyz are great in assault or shoota boyz are good in opentopped vehicles. But when you consider that you're running Ghaz, then you really want to benefit as much as you can from his 6" Waaagh. I ran the same vehicles, but with only extra armor, red paint, & one big shoota. Definitely keep the one big shoota b/c if you get a damage roll of 3 and there's no weapon, I think that immobilizes the vehicle... if I remember correctly.
Use the Nobz PK to deal with armor.
Drop the ammo runts; yeah they are cool models but you're only rerolling once on a Str 4 weapon. Keep the combi-flamers; they are great in a pinch.

Thanks for the replys all.
Ghaz- for the full 6" Waagh out of the vehicle, fearless, and 2++ save
The Ammo Runts are to make each Nob unique for wound allocation, there is no intention to ever use the re-roll
So the consensus looks to be swap the shootas for sluggas and choppas, and the big shootas for rokkit launchas

I wouldn't say "consensus."
Rokkits have no place in a mob of shoota of slugga boys, and if you're running a mechanized assault list, shootas have no place in there either. =p
