Good work on the pilot. The leather helmet is done really well in particular.

Pilot looking good, love the leather. I am a bit confused as to what the "engine" behind him could be? What is it driving? Or is it maybe a fuel pump? Just that its got nothing to do!! Looks great and painted great, just wondering what that bit is for?

Likely that apparatus behind the pilot is the high altitude air compressor for the pilot and the fuel systems for the engines?

Man those windows are awesome! where do they come from? did I miss that? I know Russia but web?

Davo that pilot is 'Ace' mate! :-) looks real good and imo adds a bunch of character to the airplane! painted like a boss too.

Thanks guys! I have no idea what the function of the engine-ish bit is. I especially wonder why it needs to be under the cockpit dome, but I suppose it's just for interest, as the Alien Element provides limitless power.

Some other Schmincke colors .. I realy like these paints. Got a super-opaque white, and hopefully more-opaque yellow, flesh, and an effect paint called "Space"
and an EXPENSIVE replacement needle/nozzle for my Badger Sotar 2020. I haven't bent mine yet (it's made of Alien Alloy I think) but if I ever do, I need this.

Well, compared to needles/nozzles for my Badger Renegade Krome, they are comparatively more expensive. I'm not sure, but it really may be a different alloy This airbrush seems to be superior quality all-around.

You might want to keep an eye on that little dude, he appears to be damaging your terrain...

were those stairs and walkways part of the kit? if so they are magnificent, if not your even more amazing than we've given you credit for before now.

Thanks guys! The front stairs were part of the kit, I just added the struts. The inside steps were just leftover bitz from those stairs reinforced from styrene I had in the same sizes.

Now the air ducts are in place

Great job as always with the riveting , are the odd colored spots on the brick miscasts, or are they planned texture? I can't tell from the photos.

I was referring to the light grey spots on the grey brick face. There seems to be little spots, not sure if those are planned or a casting problem.

oh yeah, bubbles, lots of them. I've scraped them off, but you can't get them all/ All these kits have those bubbles. I leave them on the ground as dirt, but scrape them off the walls.

That's a shop mate, not a studio. The owner never claimed any of those to be his work and given the price per set I believe most people will skip the perils of casting and simply buy the needed amount )

That's a mold I'll probably get. I first need a duplicate of the basic brick mold, so it doesn't take forever. I will probably get that at GenCon.

Which Brick mould are you referring to Dave ?
@ Storag I know Dave likes moulding thats why I thought he might like the mould, plus you can have them to hand as soon as you want rather than waiting for delivery, although to be fair all my dealings from Russia has been pretty quick
I dont think casting them should be that much of a task though as they are flat backed.
