Well, for me nothing makes a movie more enjoyable than to see a great villian at work, wheather kidnaping the girl or blowning up her home planet,an interesting bad guy just makes the film come to life.
So,who are some of you favorite rouges of cinema? what villians make you cringe( or cheer)?

Some of my favorite bad guys would have to be...

Anton Chigurh ( played by Javier Bardem) in the film "No country for old men".
The Joker ( played by Heath Ledger) in the film " The Dark Knight".
Alex DeLarge (played by Malcolm McDowell) in the briliant film " A Clockwork Orange".

Dr. Evil, of course.

Edward Longshanks in Braveheart
Ian McKellan in Richard II (protagonist IS the bad guy. I like that)
Robert DeNiro in every gangster role he's done.
AL Pacino-Scarface
I'll think of a dozen others when I finish typing.

And of course, the man I live my life by:

As usual Frazz beat me to one of my favorites. Alan Rickman as Hans Gruber (aka the bad guy from Die Hard)

Also, Scorpio Killer from Dirty Harry. Really the film is a realistic and gritty version of Batman versus the Joker and I love it.

And another one Frazz stole is the Antagonist being a good guy opposite the Protagonist which is an anti-hero. Detective Sergeant Doakes from Dexter. A great good bad guy!

Honorable mention to Telly Savalas as Hans Blofeld, both cheese and menace all rolled up into one.

And of course my all time number one and number two bad guys, drum roll please...

Chucky. Who doesn't love that laugh? Chaotic evil at it's best.

Movie Megatron (just from the first film, not the second). He beats the pants off any other TF continuity Megatron. That sort of brutality is just inspirational.

Does Frazz and Barney count?

Honestly, the Joker [Heath Ledger] takes the cake.

About to eat your Avatar...

Rodger 'Verbal' Kint (AKA Kevin Spacey) is most likely the one of the most skilled bad guys evar to grace the silver screen.

Epic character development... Watch 'The Usual Suspects' again... NAOW!!!

Heaths Joker as well (even though I was a bigger fan of Jacks Joker... being more joker, and less psychopath... and less where the hell did two-face come from?)

Alex Delarge of course to the maximum (Malcom Mcdowell is just awesome either way though, so being extra awesome... must make him super awesome.)

How could no one have mentioned Darth Vader? (Two people in one character? You can't get more evil than that... James Earl Jones wins the internetz... forever.)

Actually, Frazz did.

We have forgot this ruthless nasty and skilled bastard, however...

The Protagonist of the story yet still a bad guy. Killed his own Brother-in-law and then his own Brother. Even for the mafia, that's low. I think he would have eaten Verbal Kint six ways to Sunday.
