What's with the BDSM people?
|
People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made. |

Feck yeah. I'll be dressed like either Zed from Zardoz or The Humungous from The Road Warrior..but there will be a lot more people dressed like that, too. Gotta do something after all the liquor and smokes are gone.

Interesting sculpts, but nothing that really sings to me. My favorite aspect of post-apocalyptic fiction is the scavenger/survival aspect. A bunch of bondage chicks and Insane Clown Posse fans =/= that.

LOL,
An army of Jokers, The Matriarchy of the Sybil, and Mutants that look like Zulus.
We are missing the Spartans.
As for this game, it looks to be going with the standard scale creep that we are seeing, is it up to around 32 MM, now? On that thought the obvious question is WHY?
Why are these games creeping up, when metal costs are going through the roof? Or are these guys resin, in which I still ask WHY the size creep?
If they don't want to sell minis, I'm sure there is probibly a good market is some BDSM stores out there.
No reason NOT to. * CRACK THAT WHIP!!!*

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money. |

I've never really been into post-apoc stuff anyway, and I'm just even more turned off by the fact that every minis company and game developer is going to jump on the bandwagon for a couple of years before someone else has a new and exciting original idea.

Excellent question. I often wonder the same thing. Anyone out there with sculpting or production experience that can answer this gets a cookie.
Back on topic, the Matriarchy and Mutants are unimpressive. The Clowns, however, mostly have awesome poses and terrifying ideas. That one with the flamethrower is hands-down the best of the set. Were they not all grievously out of scale, I'd love to see these guys in Necromunda.

This game will suffer the same problems that Dark Age had, lack of miniature appeal. The Dark Age guys had to pull way back from the overly BDSM style of their game.

Interesting, the only thing I'm worried about is that what makes these minis look so great are the amazing paintjobs, meaning that a less skilled painted version would show the flaws of the models...

Scale creep happens because it is easier to make models look detailed and paint up nicely when they are larger.
This Eden is nothing to do with the Eden post-apocalyptic cyberpunk comic anyway.
The mindless drones might be useful for SF but they don't have any pics up.

I don't like em. They're on a larger scale, and have a worse sculpt than alot of GW stuff imo.

I am quite certain that many companies pick a non-standard scale specifically so that players can't use other manufacturers' models.
