Honestly, I'm really not impressed. Any area that isn't pressed looks like trash. The assault cannon on the first one looks awful.

They look pretty good, very clunky and primitive, like possibly pre-crusade armor from the Terran unification wars.

Sooooooooo... What you're saying is no one's allowed to criticize something unless they can themselves to better? Besides, he's right. The Green Stuff molds are real slick. Anything that's not done with a mold such as the offending assault cannons on the other hand...

Ya I will not be paying that price tag for those dudes I'll go FW if I wanna overpay lol. The second guy looks pretty cool but his gun is just out of place the model looks really good then this crap undetailed gun thats huge and unporportionate. And the chest skeely is wierd looking.

100 bones for a mini? One I may or may not be able to use in a turny or else were for that matter. Thanks but no thanks. I would gladly shell out say 35 for one but no were near a 100.

What is so bad about press-moulds? If the result is the same, what difference does it matter how it's achieved?

The results aren't the same, as you can see by all the areas that can't be press molded looking terrible. Each piece that is press molded looks fine but when you make a model with it and fail to deliver on half of it then that's the difference.

Really I'm not seeing it. I can't see anything wrong with the faces, the hair/cloaks/fur.

The fur , faces , hair , cloaks are all superior to GW sculpts!
they actually look soft!

Pretty good models, but since I play a DIY chapter I'll pass on the terminators. Sorry, the "Celtic Warrior #1" who happens to resemble a pre-Horus Heresy Space Wolf terminator.

I did, however, pick up a four piece resin blister of theirs for use as Inquisitor henchmen. Pretty good stuff under the "28mm SF" tab and very reasonably priced for about $9 a model.

The logic behind this is brutally slowed. You don't need to be a sculptor to be able to point a "meh" miniature. Or any miniature for that matter. End of story.

Scibor's regular range is pretty decently priced. I own some of his henchmen, and have been considering getting a few Prussian Ogres.

What I don't understand is that these are twice the cost of the FORGE WORLD terminators, and yet virtually no-one complains, and yet people complain about the cost of normal Terminators?

Good find. They have nice 28mm scifi figs up. Can't say I like the specials too much.

Has this now become a thread about the cost of FW Vs the rest Seems that, on Dakka, every other thread mutates after one or two posts.

One of the reasons, maybe, that he keep the models vaguely 'plain' in places is most likely to avoid issues with GW legal.

And, seeing as how GW legal has had their coffee spiked with cocaine and evil juice lately, that's probably a good thing.

I usually like his stuff a lot but after ph34r mentioned the assault cannon that is all I can see now.

I was a big fan of his Moscals (Chaos Dwarf) series that he worked on.

As much as he appears to be hit or miss on these ones I do not doubt at all that he is a capable sculptor. We all have our bad days...
