Yeah, final cleanup will make a world of difference. And the handle was just made from some plasticard rod.

I'm thinking to build a diving helmet on the next guy I build. For that I have some clear plastic circles that I'll be mounting in plasticard.

Only sticking point is the chest armor, what should I do with it? The top looks fine, but the bottom is just awkward. Suggestions are much appreciated!

I like where you're going with the head cage, but I think it's a little oversized. As for the chest armor, the bits are making it better, but it;s still very flat. Any way to add some contours?

I think head piece is good, Like rawson said, is there a way to add some folds into the armour so it does not look so stiff.

You could potentially cut the lower piece into 3 or 4 pieces, which would give him more mobility?

I had an epiphany today while watching vampires suck. That Segway scene made me LOL.
So I looked in my bits box, and deciding that I had sufferance parts, I made a Segway rough rider. I've decided I'll use it for my second single mini entry to this competition for this competition.
I tried to give him the most vampire looking head my bits box could supply (a dire avenger head) but he ended up looking like Spock. Come to think of it I could have used my left over Chaos sorcerer's head.
I just went along with it.

And this is what I came up with.


I still have a bit of work to do on the hood and the segway itself.
I hope you all like him so far!

I got about 20 minutes through vampires suck, I just didn't find most of the jokes funny.

So I have a small update for today. I accidentally butchered the shotgun whilst trying to mod it, so I decided to take a new route with the remake.

Not the best pic, but it gets the point across. Obviously, sanding, filling etc must still go on.

Slightly blurry main pic, but it shows off basically where I got to today.

Suggestions?

Well, radical enough that he has forsaken the emperor and the imperium and misused his power to requisition a private complex on a backwater forge world. He experiments on humans and aliens, and possibly dabbles in some dark sorcery.
So I don't know how "radical" he might seem, but his men would not have symbols of the imperium on them.

Ok he;s finished (almost). I just need to seal a few gaps and smooth things out with some filing and liquid green stuff (I love that stuff ).

I have magnetised the arms. One he is using shield his eyes and try to see through the blizzard. He's going to have a wicked snow base. The other arm he has a las pistol.

Here he is.











I hope I don't stuff him up in the painting stage.

I definately like this gun better than the last. It took me a second to figure out exactly what bits you used I would say reduce the angle of the mag a little (to get rid of that sharp corner where it meets the main gun body), and make the foregrip end flush with the rest of the gun.

As fore the bio-suit, will you be adding more armor or something around the sides? If so, I think getting a little work done on that would go a long ways...

Maybe therein lies the problem. Did he back his segway up into that spot? It would be pretty tough to drive over that rock and barbed wire...

Yes, the gun is far from finished, that was a very brief mock up. As for side armor, I was thinking of some strips to seal off the side, but not really sure what else to add.

Yeah, I don't file/knife/clean up until I'm absolutely sure its done, so then I save myself work.
