Did you custom make your Leman Russ Executioner turret? or is that the new kit? I have one of the old-skool Executioners with the metal autocannons I need to paint someday.

They are from the kit, though I custom made the commander and the lascannon.

Thanks, though I think that the height of the hat makes him look kind of Amish (the sideburns may contribute to that).
Also, I just got a landing craft for my 1:72 scale steampunk stuff! I will turn it into an airship.

I just started work on a flames of war german army! Here are some pictures, along with some other stuff.

the missle maus and the nautilus i think look far more interesting... somehow the FoW stuff never interested me ...

Cool! I always liked the FoW stuff..but the prices put me off.

isn´t it 1:72 scale? wouldn´t there be plenty of stuff all around to get models and tanks to be made from? you are not really then forced to pay FoW prices?

@Dave: I hear that there are other manufacturers, like plastic soldier company, that are cheaper.
@Vik: it is actually 1/100 scale, though I do have a lot of 1/72 scale stuff.

Anyway, here is what I have for flames of war:
-2 platoons of early-mid war panzergrenadiers, one platoon assembled, one base painted
-4 sdkfz 250 half tracks, two assembled
- a platoon of 2 8.8 cm (yes centimeters ) flak (anti aircraft: if firing shells the size of your head to blow up fast moving targets isn't orky, i don't know what is! ) guns, assembled completely except for the limbers.
-objective marker, painted (just cobbled it together from foam, mdf, artillery crew, spare ammo, etc)
-and a platoon of 5 panzer IV F2 tanks, all assembled, one painted.
I plan to paint more as soon as the weather gets better, because i use grey spray primer (yes, even for the tanks). I hope to be back to priming tuesday, I hear it will be 60 degrees Fahrenheit.

awesome amount of good looking details on these itsy bitsy minis... (they deserve the term mini for sure ) camo looks very good!

I think some brown paint and flocking/static grass on the bases will really make them pop.

@dave: These are all still works in progress, so that will have to wait until after the metals, faces, vehicle crew, and other details are done. Right now, however, I just discovered that some really old, metallic purple enamel spray paint still works, so I'm having a bit of fun with that on a 1/72 Japanese light tank. Probably going to add hot rod flames, too. should be fun! anyone have pointers on enamel paints, btw? I haven't really used them before.

All I know is that I don't like using them, they stink, and Cleaning them off of brushes is a pain in the ass
