Thanks, guys
They may be latches; I found one near our parking space when we went to the amusement park (Kennywood, It was fun!). That one still hasn't been used yet, though I may use it for the tail of my steampunk bomber. Actually, I think I'll work on that now. Pics (hopefully, but not likely) tomorrow (including the track material)

Nice Dakkajet!- I love the open cockpit look!

I think of it as a bit more of a lightning gun (maybe the can is canned lightning?)
Thanks! It is actually in blitza-bommer mode right now, but thanks to the wonders of magnets, I can switch it to be a dakkajet (decided against the burna-bommer, though, partly as It only came with one gunner)
Spam can? I used a stripped soda can for the gun, and a tea tin with a part of an oil lamp on top for the building. I am actually a vegetarian, so I would not have a spam can handy I would always say "eew, spam" whenever I passed it in the grocery store.

Yeah, the handles are similar. Cool old burna by the way. I personally like them a bit better than the new ones.

thanks for the material shot!

and the ray gun or whatever looks very good! i can just imagne you shooting it cocked to the side in a mean gangsta pose... that would be the fitting way to wiled that one!

as for the other inis... sadly you mostyl only provide one shot for those nice minis so that we can´t really say how they look... one shot is most of the times not really that helpful...as we can only see them in 2D and for a good view you need that odd extra angle...tho from what i can say... the SOB looks very good paint wise and the GS work on that melta bolter conversion makes me ask again for more shots... and the bomma... very cool looking... is that verdigris on that bomb?

Thanks! I don't have the minis with me right now, but I have one picture of the melta conversion that I haven't posted yet.
btw, that isn't verdigris: it is what I thought was the same blue I used for the panels, but I was wrong

well the pics get all complicated often enough for me too... somehow the way you see a model you never get as a pic...it is most vexing^^

and the new pic didn´t help either lol... but it now reminds me a bit of Lobo...^^

Lobo? Like the variation on little red riding hood?
Good news, everyone! I am making a second pistol, and this one will have little copper "rivets" (copper wire cut down to little nubs: that is a major p.i.t.a. by the way). It will be held like a terminator assault cannon, but it will be pistol sized, and will be more like an ork shoota (sort of).

Here it is! It still 'needs rivets, however...
and a "trigger"...
Also, I decided against the assault cannon style; too fiddly to hold

wow... now that is what i call good recycling...

and i bet that the lil copper rivets will be a pain in the rear...

Thanks! Yeah, the rivets are difficult (especially because I cut them with a knife)
That's why I will take a break from it to work on a suit of armor/power fist/face mask. I am thinking metal plates attached to belts and the like, similar to an ork.

sounds already cool! one of these days we need you to get a good anvil so you can truly go mad with your constructions^^

Thanks!
It would probably be one of those 4"x4" size ones, otherwise, I will have nowhere to put it!
The armor is mostly done.

Checklist:
heart cover (belt with metal disc bolted on).
check
Gas mask (got it at an anime convention).
check
Goggles (same as gas mask).
check'
hockey mask (got it at thrift store, just a grid shape, I added copper wire to it to wrap it around my head. It may be a football mask, actually...).
check
power fist (some kind of bulky sports glove with fingers. I may add more to it, and will probably need to repaint it.).
check?
pants (any old pair that works with the rest of it)
check
shirt (long-sleeved under armor-type stuff).
check
Trench coat (for added badassery)
check
loin"cloth" (actually a metal plate with copper wire threaded/wrapped around it, then tied around my waist)
check

And the only thing I had to glue was the chestplate.

the list sounds very good... but a hockey mask, gasmask and soe goggles... are you aiming for different looks and outfits or do you want that added to one setup?

Stalwart Tribune

Coraopolis, Pennsylvania

Actually, now that I think about it, it is probably an American football mask, as they are known as gridiron, and that is pretty much what this is. I put it on so that the gasmask fits, and I think that the goggles should too. Yeah, one whole thing. Maybe not really until winter, though...

Oh, I'm pretty much finished with the assembly: can't get pics until my dad gets home, though, as it would be almost impossible for me to take pictures of myself with the outfit on
also, the hand that doesn't have the power fist will have the first pistol. You'll see what I mean.

It would probably take longer to get a tripod than it would for my dad to be back (especially because I don't drive). It would be useful for later things, though.

yup... that is scary

if you work on the glove some more... lenghthen it a bit more you got yourself a good working Powerfuist already! some cables too!

the goggles look good and the mask too... maybe you paint them in a nice brass look?

what i am not feeling too good about is the trenchcoat... that is a bit out of style with the rest... if possible a cool looking frock would be a better thing... and a tophat too^^

and it looks as if your gun could do with some fleshing out... it looks a bit weedy in your hand in parts...

but in essence you have the right ingredients for cool costume!

Made in us
Stalwart Tribune

Coraopolis, Pennsylvania

Thanks! The gun looks weedy with the angle, I think. I did kind of go for a bit of a bare bones look, though. I don't think that my tophat would fit and the trenchcoat has been swapped out for a nice black steampunk coat.

Thanks! I also sculpted the commissar myself.
Congrats on the ebay victory! One good way you could make more would be to use shower heads. That's what I did
I'm working on an epic scale savage gunship, which i s going to be a little over 30 cm. That should occupy me for a good while (unless my adhd takes me off in a different direction )
At this exact moment, however, I am working on a warhound titan (also for epic) made out of all sorts of bitz. Unfortunately, I can't find my camera cable, so I can't post pics yet.

i didn´t get that shower head thing tho...are we talking epic gargants or 40k scale ones?

and that titan sounds interesting too!!

and i didn´t even thought that the commissar might not be standard issue for that LR!!! way to go!!

Thanks! The shower head is for epic. I am now working on epic basilisks made out of chainsword bits, space marine backpacks, sprue, and plastic tube, while the warhound dries.
