It's spray paint: I don't have to clean it off of brushes, and it stinks anyway . I hear those need to be sanded. Is this true?

I haven't been on this site for way too long! I now have my own one-man business for my metal sculptures. Anyone interested in a commission (though I haven't sent any in the mail before, so I'm not sure how I will package them. I'll think of something) can pm me. I also have a torch for soldering metal, so that should help. I have started getting into 1/35 scale WWII stuff, along with gundams. I don't have many pictures yet, but I will try to get some soon. I also have a carbide hacksaw for cutting stainless steel and the like, as well as a more conventional blade for stuff that doesn't need the carbide blade. I also am a maintenance intern at a convent, which is a very fun job, and they are considering me for employment this summer. The other maintenance guys now know that I do metal sculptures, so they are always finding stuff around the grounds! I am currently working on, among other things, a camo, stainless steel, convertible lunchbox/placemat. the hinges are made from scratch from spent bullet shells and stainless steel, the camo will be copper and brass sheet, and the handle will be a toothed fanbelt, and the whole thing will be held together by either machine screws, or sheet metal screws. Also, I am planning to go to college for welding next school year, which should be fun. I am also working on a brass knife, which currently needs to be annealed (softened) with a torch, then work-hardened with a wire brush. I will then make a wooden handle, which will be held on with tube rivets and epoxy.

I am redoing my orks to be desert blood axes with jungle bases. Because orks. In other news, I have a summer job working maintenance, so that I can pay for tuition for college for welding. The work is quite fun. The commute, however, is tough- take a bus to town, transfer onto a trolley, then get off of the trolley and hike up a steep hill with no sidewalks: not even a berm (I usually walk in the edge of the woods). Once I get to work, though, it is pretty smooth until I have to walk up the hill to my house (the commute back isn't quite as tough). Anyway, pics of the desert blitza-bommer when it is finished (it is the one earlier in the thread, but I am giving it a desert scheme).

welding is quite a cool course to attend I think... and for you especially usefull...

but indeed that commute sounds nasty... hopefully the course motivates you enough to see it through!

Thanks, Vik! I actually enjoy the work enough that the commute is worth it, even without thinking about college.

Guess who?
It's been a while. I mostly do Internet stuff on my phone, now. I could not remember my password, and the email address I used was not working, so I had to change my name. Here: have some pictures:

Here are some of my more recent metal projects. As you can see, I am pretty much past using glue at this point. Enjoy!
