Hello everyone I will have a little update during the weekdays of potential paint schemes for the army ( I know it's quite a shock ) as I've been toying around with going for a more neutral scheme so they can be used for each god rather than just one

Here is my first scheme and also look what came through the post

Wooaaah, actual painted chaos militia ! Yeah that scheme will do just fine. Now you need to get efficient at painting it, I mean really, really efficient ^^ !!!

Quite a shock i know thanks and it's quite an easy scheme which has really shocked me those two took about 5 minutes that's with the batch painting but I think I will need to do a lot better

Hello everyone sorry for the lack of updates due to the holiday's I've been with the family but I will have an update sometime this week

Here are some undercoated and base coated and completed militia men later on ill be posting pictures of a new built squad, and some time soon ill have another massive update of pictures from a 30 hour gaming night

Thank you and yep around 750 normal infantry and about 50 command and disciples haha and i won't I promise it's going to be a bloodbath ill be playing the same guy again but we'll this time he's bringing a lot more guard and ill be rocking up with 5 full militia platoon but that is about about 3 weeks away, thanks evildrcheese

Yes! Let's see that army list. I'm curious to see what you can run at 8k (besides more bodies than can fit on a 6x4 board).

Haha well there will be a awful lot of models for the game ill be posting it tomorrow night as I've sort of just written a basic list and are now tweaking it

Okay here is the list:
Chaos space marines:
*Chaos lord with plasma pistol, power weapon, khorne, Sigil-130pts
*2 dark apostles with mark of khorne-230pts
*20 possessed marines with mark of khorne-580pts
*3 squads of 20 khorne berserkers 390pts (1170pts)
Renegade militia:
*4 renegade company command squads, commanders all have power weapons, three have bolt pistols one has plasma, all have refractor fields and carapace armour, each squad has a banner of hate a command vox and carapace armour, 2 squads have Melta guns I has plasma all are mounted in chimeras With militia training, one squad has master of the horde- 836pts
* Marauder squad (10 man) with two heavy stubbers, the sergeant has a boltgun, refractor field, Melta bombs and a breacher charge-155pts
* 5 militia platoons each with 5, 30 man militia squads, 5 champions (one per platoon) 5 voxs (one per platoon) champions upgraded to demagogue, and voxs to command voxs, all squads have sub flak armour and militia training- 2675pts
* 3 leman Russ battle tanks with Lascannons and heavy bolter with militia training-540pts
* 3 basilisks with training-375pts
* bane blade with training- 500pts
*3 leman russ battle tanks with Lascannons and heavy bolter- 510pts
* valkyrie with multiple rocket pods and militia training- 135pts
* 6 heavy weapons teams with Lascannons and training-155pts
Total- 7991pts

Nice! Looks like a solid list, though its always hard to guess the effectiveness of lists above 5k. One suggestion would be to give each of the platoon squads 5 flamers. For a measly 25 points, you give the unit the ability to not only put out a ton of hurt on offense but also better defense against charges with 5D3 auto-hits from Wall of Death.

Also, just want to say good luck with painting. That's over 800 infantry not including the marines. It's going to be many bleak days base coloring grey and brown.

Maybe for when you expand the army again (cause we both know you will), you should add more tanks. I think having a full 9 tank company of Leman Russes and a full battery of basilisks would compliment the swarms of platoons. Possibly some CSM tanks as well. I'm sure some Land Raiders wouldn't go amiss
