I read the new tank rules today and instantly went and picked up a Baal Pred from ebay. Smaller table + no off switch in melee is a big win!

Don't buy more until you get ALL the rules. Also, T7 3+ is still very poor.

True, but I'm hoping the changes to reserves makes this a fun outflanking choice.

I hope so, buying blind at GW's prices sucks.

I think from the changes so far, we can conclude that current netlists won't work. Thoughts?

MSU and mech spam is all I can see at the moment but I'll reserve full judgement till I get a fuller picture.

I can't say I've played a lot of mono blood angels this season I tend to play more competative lists in other factions.

However the BA supreme command soup version probably swaps to a patrol and is still useable if tight on CP

MSU will do a poor job of protecting the babysitters I fear. It's really hard to know without all the rules and all the point costs.

Got my hands on the 9th ed. rule book today.

"Units that disembark can then act normally (move, shoot, charge, fight, etc.)..."

-1 to hit when shooting with vehicle in combat. Flamers aren't blast weapons, so still d6 shots :( Frag cannon is blast though..

Look out sir, needs the character not to be the closest and have a unit of 3+ models within 3"

Strategic reserves aren't that expensive I first feared.. 1cp for 1-9, 2cp for 10-19 power level and so on.

Terrain features are:

Hills
Obstacles (cover save bonus if within 3" and on the other side.
Area terrain (cover bonus)
Buildings, cannot be entered..

Terrain traits..
Defensible (5+ overwatch or +1 to hit rolls in fight phase)
Defence line
Breachable (infantry can move through walls)
Difficult ground (-2" to all movement)
Dense cover (-1 to hit)
Unstable position
Exposed position
Obscuring (+1 to armour save against ranged)
Heavy cover (+1 to armour saves in melee)
Scaleable
Inspiring (+1 ld)

Presets are for example..
Ruins - area terrain - scaleable, breachable, light cover, defensible, obscuring

Total of 9 different presets..

New missions and secondaries look very ITC and fun.. lot of different no man's lands.. missions for different sized games..

Well, this was few quick peeks...

For Sanguinius!
